S— dj C FAIRMONT ELEMENTARY SCHOOL April 16, 2018 To Whom it May Concern: Asa second grade teacher in the Placentia Yorba Linda School District, I had the opportunity to work closely with Miss Kaila Kaczmarek during her student teaching experience. She spent 16 weeks observing, assisting, and teaching in our classroom. It is because of this interaction that I am recommending her for a teaching position. Asa teacher candidate, slie demonstrated several qualities that I believe qualify her as a strong teacher. One of those qualities is her ability to motivate students. She entered the classroom each day enthusiasm which was transferred to the students. Other qualities Miss Kaczmarek possesses are enjoyment and respect for the children. ‘Through her day-to-day interactions with the students, it was evident that she enjoyed working with these children. She was prepared each day with differentiated lessons that address all types of leamers. She was here during the initial implementation of our district’s new language arts adoption and was always creative and innovative in her methods of instruction as she planned and delivered lessons. Her ability to infuse technology into her lessons motivated students and also served to give me numerous ideas that I will use for years to come. Behavior management was also a key area in which she demonstrated great ability. Her command of the classroom greatly influenced the degree to which students were able to maintain focus and learn, Her creative approach to instruction served to minimize any behavior that would be considered inappropriate. However, when problems did arise, she handled them with fairness and with the best interest of each individual child in mind, Finally, she also demonstrated the ability to communicate effectively with our faculty, including contributing as a team member with our other second grade teachers. She was able to communicate with our many parent volunteers on a daily basis and add valuable input during teacher-parent conferences. In my opinion, Miss Kaczmarek is an excellent candidate for your school. I would recommend her without any reservation for your teaching position. She would truly be an asset to your school community.
