Social media refers to any application, website, or blog that allows people all over the world to

connect via the internet, chat, share content, and make video calls, among many other features.
Social media platforms are used by people to publish their daily activities, comments, and
photos, as well as re-publish information posted by others. To be a member of any social media
platform, a person must first sign up and then sign in in order to access content and share and
chat with other users. Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp, and Snapchat are just a few of the popular
and widely used social media platforms. Mass media are today seen as playing a key role in
enhancing globalization and facilitating cross-border exchanges and exchanges between
countries.

Over the past decades, social media has seen growth and fame worldwide. Despite the fact that
the majority of people in a community use social media platforms to communicate and socialize
with people from all over the world, the youth and teenagers are the ones leading in using social
media platforms, to the point where they socialize while eating, in class, walking, and inside the
church. It shows how much the impact of social media is on the lives of everyone, especially
young people and teenagers.

In 10 or 15 years from now, young people and teenagers' knowledge and skills in using social
media will be more advanced. Despite these positive advantages, this advancement has
disadvantages for me. Social media can also affect their mental and psychological health.
Teenagers will spend more time on social media than doing physical activities like sports. They
are all focused on playing online games and chatting with other people using social media. Most
teenagers spend their whole day using their phones rather than socializing.
