The Greedy Dog

A very good afternoon to the judges, dear teachers and all my

friends. The title of my story today is “The Greedy Dog”.
There once was a dog who was very hungry. He looked
everywhere for some food. In the market, the dog walked by the flower
stalls. There was no food there. Next, he saw the vegetable stalls, but he
did not find anything that he liked. He came to the fish stalls. He did not
like the smell. Finally, he got to the place where people selling all kinds
of meat. At last, he found just what he was wishing for ---- a big juicy
delicious bone!

The dog was very happy and he quickly grabbed the big bone. He
carried it in his mouth and ran off. He wanted to eat it in a quite place. He
ran right out of the town. Soon he came to a bridge over a stream. The
dog looked down into the water. He saw another dog looking up at him!
The other dog also had a bone in its mouth. The dog did not know he was
looking at himself! The dog thought, “his bone is bigger than mine. If I
grab his, then I’ll have two!”

The dog jumped into the water to take the other dog’s bone. At the
same time, his bone dropped into the stream. The dog could not find any
of the bones. And now, he had nothing to eat.

Be happy with the good things you have ---- if you are greedy, you
may end up with nothing.

Thank you!
