Criminology @ 14: Strengthening the Legacy of the Past, Continuing the

Quest for Excellence Amidst Diversity

Mechanics for the activities (Day 1)

Fun Run
(4:30am – 7:00am)
Fun Run Mechanics:
TO THE PARTICIPANTS: (Open to all currently enrolled Criminology Students
of VSU Tolosa.)
ASSEMBLY AREA
In front of Koica Building

REGISTRATION PROCESS
Registration will start at 4:00 am at the Assembly Area and the race will start
immediately at 4:30 a.m. Before the said date, 10 pesos is collected by your
assigned GAM and AGAM for registration fee. Bib number is distributed at the
Assembly Area on the day of the race, just present your receipt.

UNIFORM
All participants must wear the designated color t-shirt, which the First Year is
White, Second Year is Blue, Third Year is Black and Red for Fourth Year. With
Black Botak Shorts and rubber shoes on the day of the activity. The bib
number should be pinned on the chest area. NO COLOR T-SHIRT, NO BIB
NUMBER, NO RUN.

RUN ROUTE AND DISTANCE

 Approximately, 2.4 km from VSU Tolosa to Tolosa Plaza but the Run
Route will start at VSU Tolosa and will end at School as well, it makes
the marathon a 4.8 km run. Barangay Police(Tanod) and officers will be
present along the route to guide and monitor the runners on the official
run route.
 Participants may run or rest at their discretion, provided that they do not
leave the route of the race or remove their bib number. Any participant
who takes shortcuts or rides a vehicle during the race will automatically
be disqualified.
 Participants must pass thru the Finish Line after completing the rounds
enable Committee to record the time.
Medics

 To ensure security and protection, traffic assistance will be provided.


Likewise, ambulance will be on hand to provide medical assistance.
Refreshments
 Mineral Water will be provided during the activity, water stations are
located at the VSU Tolosa Gate (at the starting and ending point) and at
Tolosa Plaza (at the U-turn point)
Awards and Special Prizes

 Awarding and closing program will follow immediately after all the
participants have reached the Finish Line. The top three finishers of the
4.8 km run will receive a medal and cash, which the Gold medalist will
receive 1 thousand pesos while Silver medalist will receive 700 pesos
and 500 pesos for Bronze medalist.
Important Reminders
 Before long runs or sprint race, there is nothing like a good warm-up,
like stretching. Try maintain a comfortable pace. Remember that long-
distance running is more developing your endurance, while a sprint is
different. Although, we encourage runners should run competitively, but
run safely and defensively. Allow faster runners to go ahead of you by
not blocking their way.
 If you feel any symptoms of muscle pains or cramps, pause and relax
your body for a while, then continue. If pain persists, call, signal or ask
for assistance to the nearest Barangay Police or officer at your area to
get medical assistance.

Family Feud
(8:30am – 10:30am)
Facilitator: Evangeline Viray (CCJE-SSC President)
1. Every team must have 5 members to represent.
2. The activity is composed of 3 rounds- 2 Eliminations and 1 final round.
3. Questions will be based on the surveyed questions by the CCJE-SSC
Officers to the CCJE students.
4. Player 1 will pick a number to identify their rival team for the 1st
Elimination.
5. Remaining players not selected by Players 1 will compete for the 2nd
Elimination.
6. Elimination 1 winner and Elimination 2 winner will compete for the Final
Round.
7. The players who will get the highest total score earned at the end of Final
Round will be hailed as FAMILY FEUD WINNER.

Basketball Game

4 Teams Namely: First year, Second year, Third year and Fourth year

Single elimination round both men and women

First day (8:30am – 10:30am)

4th year vs 3rd year game

Second day Afternoon (1:00pm – 5:00pm)

Venue: VSUT gymnasium

Instructions:

1. First, gather all participating teams. Once gathered, call all team
captains. All teams should compose of 15 players. Each team will be
given 10 mins to warm up.
2. Players, referees and officiating officials must be positioned once the
starting five and jump ball begins.
3. Each quarter will have 10 mins time duration and a 24 second shot
clock for every ball position.
4. The team with a higher score at the end of the 4 th quarter will be the
winner.

Volleyball Game

4 Teams Namely: First year, Second year, Third year and Fourth year

Single elimination round both men and women

Instructions:

1. First, gather all participating teams. Once gathered, call all team
captains. All teams should compose of 10 players. It will be 25 per set,
team that will win 2 sets will be called the winner.
2. Second, toss coin (head or tail), once tossed, team captain will choose
either court or service.
3. Third, each team will be given 10 minutes warm up and court drills.
4. Fourth, all line men and officiating officials gathered and positioned.
5. Lastly, game time which will be single elimination.
Pinoy Fun Games
(10:30am – 12:00nn)

Hubarin mo, susuotin ko.

Materials:
-T-Shirt Every Group

Mechanics:
1. This game needs 11 players.
2. One Member of the team will wear the shirt to the first player up to end.

Pass the flour challenge


Materials:
-Flour

Mechanics:
1. 5 member every year level
2. They need to sit on the sand or grass and pass the flour at the back.
3. The group with the most flour passed at the back wins.

Parlor Games ( Run and Jump with balloons)


Materials:
-Balloons and chair

Mechanics:
1. This games need 10 players every year level.
2. The players should put the balloons under their arms and between their legs
without dropping or popping it. If the player drop it or pop the balloons they
have to go back and get another balloon.
3. The player must circle around the chair in the other side and the first team
to finish is the winner.

Taekwondo Open Tournament

PARTICIPANTS: (Open to all currently enrolled Criminology Students of VSU
Tolosa). Each Year level must have 8 students representatives that must match
to different weight categories.

COMPETITION VENUE
This will be held at the Defense Tactics Room on December 12, 2022

UNIFORM
All participants must wear Dobok but just in case it is not available, they may
wear their designated color t-shirt, which the First Year is White, Second Year
is Blue, Third Year is Black and Red for Fourth Year. With comfortable Jogging
Pants and rubber shoes on the day of the activity.

GAME PROCESS
There are two sides the Blue and Red and to determine who will be in the red
and blue side, Representative from the players will pick a piece of paper in the
container which in the paper it is indicated that Player Team 1 (Blue), Player
Team 2 (Blue), Player Team 3 (Red) and Player Team 4 (Red). The Team Pick
Blue will be the Game 1 and Game 2 the Red.

There are 3 rounds in every match each round has 1 minute duration. To
determine who wins a score sheet will be given to the 3 judges and they will be
individually ask and raise a flag (Red or Blue, corresponding to the Body Armor
wearing of the player) to the player who gathered greater points.
POINT SYSTEM

 Punch to the body – 1 pt


 Kick to the body- 2 pts
 Kick to the head- 3pts
 Turning kick to the body- 4 pts
 Turning kick to the head- 5 pts
 Knockdown- 1 point to original points awarded
 Penalty- 1 pt

MEDICS

To ensure safety of the players the presence of School Nurse will be around at
the venue. Likewise, ambulance will be on hand to provide medical assistance.

SAFETY RULES AND REMINDERS:


Attacks or punish in the head are prohibited. The Referee will penalize the
athlete for this case. The referee can decide the winner of RSC (Referee Stop
Contest) in case of significant difference of competing ability between two
athletes. Remember that martial arts are not a barbaric sport it is a disciplined
sport, if you feel your opponent is not in a good condition anymore to continue
the fight you may ask the referee for time out because safety or your opponent
is your responsibility. If you feel that you are not in good condition to fight you
can ask for time out or give up the fight. Always think that your condition and
safety is a must.
Amazing Race
(1:00pm – 5:00pm)
OVERALL MECHANICS:

1. Each team should be composed of 5 members


2. There should be at least 2 females or 2 males per team ( 2 females + 3
males or 3 females + 2 males).
3. Everyone in the team should be able to participate in all the "games" in
the race and perform each given tasks.

Quiz Bee
(1:00pm – 5:00pm)

QUIZ BEE MECHANICS


1. The quiz bee has three rounds: EASY, AVERAGE, and DIFFICULT. Below
are the corresponding number of items, points, and time allotment for
answering each item.

2. Questions of Quiz Bee will come from the following areas:

3. The Quiz Bee will be held on December 12, 2022 (1:00pm – 5:00pm) at
CCJE Department Room 1. Participants must enter room 30 minutes
before the scheduled time.
4. Each participant must have a white board/illustration board and
markers/chalks.
5. Each participant will start with zero score at the start of Easy Round.
The accumulation of points all throughout the quiz bee will be
cumulative.
6. The Quiz Master will read each of the questions twice. The questions will
also be presented via powerpoint presentation (if possible/depending on
the availability of the projector)
7. All participants will have to wait for the signal from the Quiz Master
before answering the questions.
8. When time is up, the participants will be asked to raise their boards or to
show their answers. Participants can only show up and bring down their
boards upon instruction of the Quiz Master.

Crim Henyo
(1:00pm – 5:00pm)

Mechanics of the game:


1. Each team must have two representatives for crim henyo. Player 1 will be
the guesser while Player 2 will be the one who will respond to the guesser.
2. The secret word will be placed at the top of the forehead of the Player 1 or
the guesser, furthermore the group must sit two (2) meters away from each
other to avoid cheating. No body language is allowed.
3. The guesser will be given four minutes to guess the hidden/secret words.
4. It is strictly implemented that the players will speak English language in
questioning and answering/replying back until they finally guess the word.
Once they speak Filipino, 5 seconds will be deducted to their time.
5. The responder must only say YES, NO, CAN BE/MAYBE. No other words to
answer or else 5 second will be deducted to their time.
6. Team that be caught cheating will be automatically disqualified.
7.The team that gets the highest number of guessed words will be the winner of
the game.

Karaoke Challenge
(1:00pm – 5:00pm)

Tiktok Challenge
(1:00pm – 5:00pm)

Mechanics:
1. This contest is open to all BSCRIM Students of VSU Tolosa.
2. A maximum of 15 members/participants per year level.
3. The choreography/steps of the dance should be in accordance to current
trending tiktok dance.
4. The material or music should not exceed to 2 minutes time duration.
5. After all the performances, there will be a Dance Showdown in which 2
representatives from each group will perform the dance step of the
TikTok music being played.
Mechanics for the activities (Day 2)

Debate
(7:00am – 12:00nn)

Mechanics:
1. Every team must have 3 participants to act as 1st speaker, 2nd speaker, and
3rd speaker.
2. This is composed of 3 rounds- 2 eliminations, 1 final round.
3. For the first round, each team will pick a number to identify their rival team.
(Ex: 1 vs. 2, 3 vs. 4)
4. 1st Team will compete against their rival team.
5. Remaining teams will compete for the 2nd elimination round.
6. Winners from Elimination 1 and Elimination 2 will compete for FINAL
ROUND. From that, a DEBATER OF THE YEAR will be hailed.

Running Crim
(7:00am – 12:00nn)

Mechanics:
1. Every team must have 2 members to represent their team.
2. Each team is tasked to look for 10 CCJE-SSC balls within the University for
a specified time.
3. Any team who completed the 10 balls is eligible to steal the other team's
card which is equivalent to 5 points. Any team whose team card is snatched
will be deemed eliminated.
4. Team with the highest number of points (balls and team cards) will be hailed
as RUNNING CRIM CHAMPS!

Larong Pinoy
(7:00am – 12:00nn)

Mechanics:
Instructions will be given before the game starts.

SACK RACE
-Each team must have 5 members.

TUG OF WAR
-Each team must have 5 members.

ARM WRESTLING
- Each team must have 1 Male and 1 Female representative.

CATCHING THE DRAGONS TAIL


-each team must have 10 members

BASE VS. BASE


- Each team must have 5 members.

TUMBANG PRESO
-Each team must have 5 members.

- Each team must have 1 Male and 1 Female representative.

Flow of Pageant
1. Presentation of candidates/Production – candidates will present themselves
and the year level they represent.

2. Talent Competition - every candidate will be given a maximum of two (2)


minutes for their talent presentation.
They are to be rated through the following:
 Skills/talent (50%)
 ,Mastery (20%)
 Creativity and uniqueness (20%)
 Audience Impact (10%).

3. Swim Suit/swimwear Competition - The contestants will compete in a Swim


Suit/Swimwear Competition of their own choice and should be worn in good
and formal taste.
They are to be rated according to their:
 Physical fitness and body physique (50%)
 Sense of confidence (20%)
 Personality and stage presence (10%)
 Technique (walking and posture) (20%).

4. Gown/Formal Attire Competition - Let the judges and audience see your
self-confidence and poise and personality and let them shine beyond the
footlights.
They are to be rated according to their:
 Elegance (50%)
 Sense of confidence (20%)
 Appropriateness of attire (10%)
 Technique (walking and posture) (20%).

5. Question and Answer – Is the portion where judges will get to know how
knowledgeable you are and in what way you can promote ideals for a wide
variety of topics such as world affairs, local politics, crime prevention, career
goals, and environmental issues and how you intend to achieve them and past
questions.
They are to be rated according to their:
 Wit (50%)
 Confidence (10%)
 Appropriateness and Relevance (20%)
 Clarity (20%)

6. The candidates for both male and female who earns the highest percentage
will be hailed as the reigning Mr. and Ms. Criminology 2022

Mechanics for the activities (Day 3)

Valorant Crim
(8:00am – 12:00nn)

Mechanics:
1. Each team must have 5 members to represent and must wear white T-shirt.
2. Teams 1, 2, 3, 4 will regroup into 2 to play as attackers and defenders.
3. Attackers will be based outside the Crim Building (Near Nipa Hut) while
defenders will be based on the 1st Floor Crim Building .
4. The goal is to protect their flag (defender) not to be stolen by the attacker.
5. In order to eliminate a player, they must wet their enemy using a water gun
or a grenade (water balloon)
6. An eliminated player is not allowed to continue playing and must lay down
until such time is recognized and pulled out by the facilitator. Doing the
opposite corresponds to the disqualification of the team and the automatic win
of the other team.
7. Game 1 will run for 2 hours. If no flag has been stolen, the number of
remaining players will determine who won.
8. Then the winning group will compete against themselves for the VALORANT
CRIM OF THE YEAR.

Strongest Crim
(8:00am – 12:00nn)

Mechanics:

1. Each team should have 2 participants (Male and Female)


2. Each participants should be able to properly execute the given exercises
3. The ranking will be based on the length of time of execution, and the
number of exercises executed.
4. The participants (each category) to finish with the shortest time and most
number of exercises executed will be ranked higher than those with least
exercises.
5. Those who aren't able to finish the exercises will automatically be ranked
last, depending on the number of exercises they were able to execute.
6. The participants are allowed to rest, however, the timer will still
continue.

The winners will be hailed as the Tarzan (Male) and Gabriela (Female), or the
Strongest Crims.
