1. What is Basic Input/Output Settings (BIOS)?

 BIOS, or Basic Input/Output System, is software stored on a small memory chip, also known as
firmware. BIOS is found on the motherboard, and it is the very first software to run after a
computer starts. 
 BIOS instructs the computer on how to perform basic functions like booting and keyboard
control; it is also used to identify and configure the hardware in a computer such as the hard
drive, CPU, memory, and related equipment. Finally, it manages data flow between the
computer's operating system (OS) and attached devices. 
 BIOS firmware is non-volatile, meaning that its settings are saved and recoverable even after
power has been removed from the device.

2. What are the essential BIOS setup utility menus and settings?

BIOS Setup Utility File menu


- Review system information, a system log, and options on how to save changes to
BIOS settings.

BIOS Setup Utility Storage menu


- Review computer storage specifications and options and make configuration settings
changes.

BIOS Setup Utility Security menu


- Manage system-related security settings and passwords

BIOS Setup Utility Power menu


- Manage hardware and operating system-related power settings and view the CPU fan
speed.

BIOS Setup Utility Advanced menu


- Manage advanced power and bus options and device options including the number
lock state at start up.

3. In your own perception, what do you consider necessary BIOS configurations
