Tactics Vs Real Madrid

Formation: 4-4-2

GK: Pope
LB: Saka
LCB: Gomez
RCB: Evans
RB: Kyle Walker
LM: Raheem Sterling
LCM: Paul Scholes
RCM: Jack Grealish
RM: Jadon Sancho
ST: Vardy
ST: Greenwood

Vinicius and Eden Hazard are extremely hard to man mark, this is why Jonny
Evans will stay back and not go forward, therefore, dictating the play from the
back as a libero. Joe Gomez will be given license to go to the halfway line while
we are in their half on the attack. Kyle Walker will be given license to go forward
and join the attack as an extra man and he will be a helping hand on the edge of
the other team’s box. This is because Kyle Walker is extremely quick and he can
track back if the opposition tries to set up a quick counter attack, with a
registered speed of 35.27 km/h. Bukayo Saka is also a very good playmaker, as
he has managed to register 12 assists this season in the Premier League from
left back. Paul Scholes operates very well as a cdm because he can put a good
tackle in and also can play long balls with fantastic precision as we had seen
him do so often in his prime years at Manchester United. If we take into account
his last season, he made 27 tackles in 16 appearances, with a tackle success
rate of 78% which is staggeringly high for a centre-midfielder who is regarded
as a playmaker. He also registered 59 ball recoveries in those 16 appearances.
Jack Grealish is also a very good playmaker, as he has managed to create 89
big chances this season in the premier league, in a very poor Aston Villa side,
which is only bettered by Kevin De Bruyne. Mason Greenwood is arguably the
best up and coming young talent on the planet, as he has 17 goals in all
competitions, without making too many starts either. Jamie Vardy will be
making runs in behind the Real Madrid defence, because his movement off the
ball is fantastic and is a handful for defenders. Paul Scholes’ vision will be key
here in order to look for a ball over the top to Vardy, and we already know how
clinical of a finisher he is as he won the golden boot this season with 23 goals.
The players will also keep taking shots at Areola because he doesn’t get regular
first team game time at Madrid, and therefore, his shot stopping skills would be
rusty and this will try to force a mistake.

Captain- Paul Scholes

During certain periods of his time at Manchester United, he was Vice captain of
the team, and in this scenario, he will be a great leader to all of the young
players in my team. He is a great all-rounder, with goals, assists, along with a
very good defensive work rate. He sets the example for others around him to do
better, and has fantastic chemistry with everyone around him as they are
English as well and he is a legend.
