Experiential learning is the process of learning through practice. By involving students in real-life
experiences and reflections, the theories and knowledge learned in the classroom can be successfully
linked to real-life situations. Skills, knowledge and experience are gained outside of traditional academic
classrooms, field research and service learning projects. Students like the bond that existed between them
and the professor. They also felt like they had a purpose on the first day. They believed that this would not
happen in a traditional classroom

One of the things I'm very grateful for is SOIL SOBD Lifeline has so many activities going on that they
need volunteers. The organization is certainly still very busy. I'm there to learn through arts and crafts, and
help them evaluate.

This was my first time when I got to know that there is experiential learning session , but when
surprisingly it was the best session one can get in their college life. Being part of this learning was a
wholesome new experience for me as never heard of it and attending this session was immense . Insightful
AND THOUGHTFULL Sessions were so relaxing which were merely a much needed session in today’s
world where everyone is busy working and focusing only on their academics performance without
knowing what other co-curricular ACTIVITES can bring change and make their life more happening and
relaxing.

When I realized learning as a skill can be learned, I gained great confidence in my ability to learn and
succeed in college. Teachers can promote this shift in assumptions by helping students understand how
learning happens and by encouraging students to approach learning with conscious effort.
One day after college gets its sessions over then comes this experiential learning where one individual tries
to figure out its hidden skills and talent where he/she can utilize the time being. Such Learning enhances
the students to think out of the box and do wonders.

Focus on organising and involving with the theme makes them innovate new stuff and create value to the
things which they want to focus on.
Learning should not be viewed as a passive event, often taking place in a lecture-based classroom where
the teacher seems to have only the most active role. Instead, I believe that clear and well-stated goals for
being an active learner and seeing learning as a skill can be beneficial.

Encouraging students to be active learners and explaining learning processes can also benefit the student-
teacher relationship. Students and teachers have opposite roles in the classroom, but share the same goal of
supporting student learning. Instead of students and teachers being divided by power differences in their
roles, teachers can instead be seen as facilitators of learning, but this perspective is one that students take
would need to be encouraged.

There was this activity where each individual got engaged and showed different skills respective of their
interest as this activity made them come out of their comfort zone and the participation process was
smooth that the orator was called upon again for this activity and all thanks to Dr Ritu Sharma Maam
where she made this fun learning possible.
I am grateful to be her mentee as under her guidelines I was able to explore different skills and
acknowledge my abilities to the fullest.
Being the Session faculty , her part in organizing such Experiential learning sessions were amazing , her
courage and dedication towards bringing such session were remarkable and hence was fruitful, all my
encouragement to her in bring this learning experience with us.
I wish I could be part of this learning experience more and should never ending as such learnings are
important part in one’s daily life as well as a part to learning new changes that one need seek and learn and
implement.
