Method statement :
Before starting work:
 Emergency procedures to be explained for all workers,
 Prepare the fire extinguishers ,
 Spider gas detector should be provided,
 Prepare the necessary tools (straps, lifting material …),
 All tools will be inspected and color coding applied (Yellow),
 Hard barricade will be in place around the work area,
 All vehicles, engines should have fire arrestors to avoid any ignition source or fire hazards,

Tasks Sequences
1. Collect the relevant permits to work from control room/ liaise with MLN Production/shutdown team after getting
the go ahead from production,
2. Toolbox talks for job hazards / risks and emergency procedures to be carried out prior to task commencement,
3. Walk the job with performing supervisor to identify hazardous operations and ensure control measures as
specified in a TRIC are in place,
4. Confirm that the line has been drained/depressurized or isolated by MLN operator and hi will sign the worksite
isolation checklist,
5. Lift carefully and shift the existing pipe using a side boom and put the temporary support.
6. When the pipe was lifted as required and supported we move to the next step which is removing the existing
concrete pipe supports using side boom.
7. Levelling sand under pipe support locations using manual shovels.
8. Apply gypsum watered and compacted for a total depth of 30 cm for each position
9. Pouring lean concrete
10. After one day we put the new support on correct position
11. Move the existing pipe and put it back in its right position
12. When finishing this operation we proceed to remove the temporary supports
13. Carry out housekeeping checks and clear the area.
