Should we build a bypass around our city?

Your community may be asked to consider a bypass to relieve traffic congestion and to improve travel
time for those passing through, especially trucks. But are there any other advantages? Let’s see how a
bypass can improve the quality of life in a city.

Nowadays, an increasing amount of cities build a bypass around the residential areas in hope of
diminishing or eliminating the pollution created by hundreds or thousands of vehicles passing through
the city center. The bypass reroutes all the commercial vehicles outside of the city, isolating the affected
area, this could really help with the health of kids who are currently growing up in the poisonous smog.
Vehicles moving at higher speeds on a bypass have higher efficiency than moving at lower speeds like in
the traffic, meaning they not only cover a longer distance in less time but also use less fuel.

Furthermore, a detour will also affect the traffic, improving its pace and making it a lot more bearable.
By making a bypass all the trucks and passer-byers can continue their journey without having to wait in
the city traffic and the residents can make their way around town without bumping into all the cars
trying to make it out to the other side of the city. I really think a bypass can help with the traffic in a city,
especially with the increase of international road transport through our town.

It’s clear that our city needs a bypass, the benefit of having less traffic is much more important than the
cost of the project or the land it will occupy and everyone will gain something from it.
