Detergent

I have looked into multiple areas of each detergent such as their ecological
effect, their efficiency, their acceptance by the public and their cost-
effectiveness. After much research I have come to the conclusion of choosing Tide
as my detergent.

Tide is an American laundry detergent brand manufactured and marketed by Procter

and Gamble. It is well known throughout the world and is the highest selling
detergent brand globally. It owns 14.3% of the detergent global market.

Tide is trusted and accepted by people throughout the world as evidenced by the
2016 survey conducted by TNS, a global market research company, in which its new
product Tide Original HE Turbo Clean Liquid was voted Product of the Year.

There are many economical reasons as to why I chose Tide. Tide Coldwater saves
energy bills and wear on clothes. Washing with cold water can save the average
household energy $63 a year in energy cost, but consumers thought that cold water
couldn't wash clothes well. To address this issue, Procter and Gamble developed
Tide Cold Water. This provides deep cleaning with cold water and reduces clothing
wear. It is also more cost effective as the detergent is very concentrated and
cleans clothes thoroughly.

In terms of effect on the environment due to Tide, I prefer Tide purclean, the
first bio based detergent with the cleaning power of Tide. With a 65% bio-based
formulation (labeled on products labeled USDA certified bio-based), Tide purclean
offers the same cleaning power, stain removal and color care as the Tide Original
Liquid Laundry Detergent, with a light Honey Lavender fragrance for a subtle, clean
scent.

The Tide purclean detergent is manufactured in a zero-waste-to-landfill facility

powered entirely by renewable wind energy, and the bottle is also 100 percent
recyclable. It's designed to work in cold water to save you money on electricity
(but can be used in any water temperature). Tide purclean works in both HE (high
efficiency) and non-HE (non-high efficiency) washing machines.

Thus, for the aforementioned reasons, I would choose Tide as my detergent.
