A Receiving Inspection

The Final Inspection Shipping release is available along with the Pre-
Schedule Q,
Engineered Building at the time of receipt at the job site. (Note: Pre-

The materials furnished shall include the roofing, siding, anchor bolts,
flashing and trim, leveling plates, doors, windows, hardware, fasteners, 12-SAMSS-014

sealants, and any other component parts for the metal buildings as Sec. 4.1
specified in the order and as required to make a complete system.

All materials shall be new, free of defects and meet or exceed the physical 12-SAMSS-014

requirements of the design and fabrication process. Sec. 6

Unless indicated in the Purchase Order, the vendor shall provide either
single sheet or sandwich type roof and wall panels based on the required

temperature. The choice of panels is subject to prior written approval of
the buyer.

A5 Roof panels shall be ribbed to provide adequate rigidity.

Single Sheet Roof and Wall Panels shall be made of a minimum 0.5 mm

Fiberglass insulation shall meet the following conditions: flexible; resilient;


odorless; shall not contribute to corrosion of steel or aluminum; flame
spread rating of 25 or less and shall comply with the provisions of Section
707 of the Uniform Building Code; facing shall cover the width of the 12-SAMSS-014

fiberglass blanket plus two flanges each 50 mm wide; vapor barrier to be Sec. 6.5.1.h
aluminum foil or equal placed on the outside. Interior exposed insulation
shall receive a quilted covering (preferably a fiberglass scrim) on the
interior surface to protect the insulation.

Sandwich Roof/ Wall Panels shall be self contained, factory assembled 12-SAMSS-014
A9 foam plastic insulated units having a nominal covering width of not less Sec. 6.5.2.a &
than 900 mm (3 ft nominal) unless approved otherwise by Saudi Aramco. Sec. 6.5.4.a

Sandwich panels shall be in banded stacks with suitable foam or


cardboard separators between each panel to prevent damage to the

or similar during transport and storage.
