How to Survive a Cockroach in Your House

You wake up in the night to fetch a glass of water. You switch on the light, but there is a

disgusting little cockroach crawling on your kitchen floor. Here is what you should do to get rid

of it without setting up a theater:

First, do not panic—if you scream and run, the bug will flee and remain silently crawling

in your house.

Next, fetch a bowl and mix baking soda, and a pinch of sugar. The sugar will be used to

attract them, and the soda will finish them off.

Finally, sprinkle the mixture around the places where the cockroach was seen. Do not

sprinkle it on the entire floor, the corners of the kitchen (or anywhere else you have seen the

cockroach) will suffice.

The next day, you will probably spot a dead cockroach on the floor—pick it up with a

dustpan and get rid of it in whatever way you prefer. If you do not see the cockroach, it will

probably be dead in its nest or somewhere else where you cannot sight it.
