PREPARATION
1. Personally, what is your most prized identity?
My most prized identity is being a good Filipino citizen in our country. Being an active
leader in a certain organization in school and even in the community is a kind of platform
where I showed patriotism. In which, I can be able to serve my constituents with integrity
and love. I am one of the youths and the one who will carry the hope of our motherland.
This will I believe that is my most prized identity which is being a citizen of our country. I
would also say that this is an effective way because the organization where I a serving
helps me to grow as a strong and independent person.
2. Cite a personal experience that you think influenced most the formation of such a unique
identity.
While all of our interactions with society have an impact, our relationships with our
families and loved ones have a significant impact on our identity formation. We look to our
parents, siblings, and extended family members for the building blocks of our identity
formation because they are the first people we are exposed to. Unsurprisingly, as we learn
and develop our identities, our loved ones' identities evolve as a result of our impact on their
lives. Throughout our childhood, we may assume the roles of son, daughter, brother, or
sister. The degree to which we identify with these labels is influenced by factors such as the
size and type of family we belong to, as well as the level of support or conflict we receive
from our family. In many cases, factors in our parents' lives that contribute to their identities,
such as financial status or level of education, influence the level of support or conflict.
3. What do you think you would become if you have not experienced a such phase in your
life? Would you hold the same trait?
If there were things I would not have experienced such a phase in my life as having a lot of
regrets and a lot of failures in life. Well, no one is perfect in this vast world but having
regrets and failures somehow you’ve drowned and got lost. Our age becomes grower and
our faces become older and there is something you haven’t enjoyed in your life as you are
alive it will turn into regrets once you’ve reached the late adulthood stage. However, if only
there was a machine that could go back in time. I would turn back in time and I will able to
do the things that I haven’t experienced when I was young.

Instructions: Provide what is asked in each item below. Make it concise and coherent.
1. In your perspective, which of the literary pieces in the period best represents the
history of such a phase? Explain

One of the literary pieces that best represent the history of such a phase is the
memoir entitled “Mga Gunita Ng Himagsikan” written by Emilio Aguinaldo. It tells the
truth about Filipino struggles during the Spanish occupation and American
occupations. Where he wrote it to provide us with valuable information and to allow
us to visualize how Emilio Aguinaldo led the revolution specifically in his town Cavite
and as well as other Filipino revolutionaries who had fought against the Spaniards
during the integral event in Philippine history. Perhaps in his memoir, he emphasizes
the importance of unity in allowing our country to live in freedom. As it is every
Filipino revolutionary and soldier united and fought to defeat the Spaniards moreover
to resist colonialism. Despite a lack of ammunition, it is not impossible to achieve our
independence if we were all gathered together. Through Emilio Aguinaldo’s
masterpiece, we Filipinos can envision our history which allowed us to appreciate his
bravery and contributions to our country. Based on what I have learned from the
experiences of early Filipinos. Thousands of dollars cannot be spent on taxed lives
just to gain our freedom. However, we are lucky enough as we live free in the
present because we didn’t experience the life they have been struggling in that
period. In the statement of Hernandez “Hindi ito dapat makita bilang isang
pangyayaring dapat talikuran kundi isang pangyayaring kapupulutan ng aral ng
bawat isang taong nag nanais isabuhay ang inangkin niyang pananampalataya”
(Hernandez, 1997). Indeed, he speaks right, and whatever experiences happened in
the past shouldn’t be ignored, instead, we should be able to learn from them. We
should learn to stand on our own if we think we are right. Like what is also talked
about in the memoir of Emilio Aguinaldo. He stands for what is right and fights for a
good future in our country.
