Testing
Parameters  Turbidity ( NTU at 11.5º Brix )

Sample Size
 20 – 25 ml

Sampling
Responsibility  Q.C. Officer

Sampling  Take 100 ml clean and dry beaker.


Method  Take 20-25 ml sample from finished product Tanks and
leave the sample for 5-10 min for cooling down.
Testing
Frequency  Take the sample from each tank.

Equipment Used
 Portable Turbidimetrer (Model 2100P)

Testing Method
 Fill a sample cell to the line (about 15 ml) and cap the cell.
 Wipe the sample cell with a soft lint-free cloth to remove
water spots and fingerprints.
 Apply a thin layer of silicon oil.
 Wipe gently with a soft cloth to obtain an even film over the
entire surface.
 Turn the instrument on.
 Insert the sample cell in the cell compartment and close the
lid.
 Press READ.
 The display will show turbidity in NTU.
 Note the result after the lamp symbol turns off.

Acceptance  Acceptable turbidity range of the Clarified Apple, Pear,


Criteria Peach, Pomegranate and Strawberry juice concentrate
should be < 5.0 NTU
