The bilge system is used to dispose any water that accumulated within the spaces of

the ship. Bilge system needs to be taken care of because it contains different
fluids such as water, coolant, fuel and oil. It is stored in the bottom point of
the ship. Ballast system is mainly used to ensure stability of ship. Ballast have
their own tanks. Both systems use similar pumps, because of this they can take over
each other, depending on the situation.
