Marketing Strategy to be Used in Selling

Finding an outlet to sell your produce as well as marketing your fruits and vegetables are vital if you
want to switch from growing for yourself (subsistence) to make money from your efforts. For one thing,
marketing your fruit and vegetables involves planning. Find a market before planning your crop. In
other words, it’s not a case of growing the vegetables, then finding somewhere to sell them. You need
first to find out what’s needed (the demand), then you must plan for the required quality and correct
quantity, and make sure you can provide a continuous supply for your outlet.

Examples of added value-added services (VAS) you may consider in your product:

❖ Health and organic,

❖ good quality,
❖ packaging and product delivery,

Plans for Expansion Planting Trees and Seedling Production

Every business should have a future plan for expansion. A successful orchard is important to the
community and environment. Its result stands as evidence that expansion is necessary.

A planting plan is a drawing that specifies the plants that will be put into your garden. It shows the
position, variety, and quantity of plants for any given area.

Factors to Consider in Planning for Expansion of Planting Trees and Seedling Production

1. Setting goals

The first step in planning a reforestation project is to think about how it relates to both
short- and long-term landowner goals. Such goals might include producing income from timber,
improving habitat for specific wildlife species, restoring a natural plant community, reducing soil
erosion, improving water quality or enhancing the aesthetics of the land. Remember that many goals
are compatible with each other, allowing a single forest planting to serve multiple purposes.

2. Site evaluation

Planning reforestation activities begins with evaluating the planting site. Knowledge of potentially
limiting site factors such as climate, soils, existing vegetation, topography, insects, diseases, animals,
and productivity potential will aid in selecting suitable species, preparing the site and prescribing post
planting management practices.

3. Planting design

The planting design will provide specific details for the creation and management of planting,
including acreage, species, number of trees, layout of roads and fire breaks, nursery stock type, site
preparation and planting method, spacing, arrangement, and any post-planting maintenance.

Tips for Future Expansion

private sectors that run related business.
