Legends are a category of traditional prose narratives that resemble myths since they are regarded by

their tellers as true despite being partly based on traditional motifs or concept. The difference between
myths and legends is that legends are secular and are set in less remote past in a convectional earthly
locale.A legend is presumed to have some basis in historical fact and tends to mention real people or
events. Myths are stories that are not based on fact.
