 ABOUT THE UNIVERSITY
Sri Sri University (SSU) came into operation in the year 2012 and is emerging as a centre for premium
education in India, aimed at blending the “Best of East & West”. This blend of academics and spirituality
is well-suited to out times beacase a modern and well-researched curriculam, rigorous academic pursuit
by hoghly qualified and experienced teachers, the best of industry exposure, innovative pedagogical
practices, state-of-art-infrastructure and spirituality through meditation and yoga makes the SSUvian a
‘complete’ human being readying him/her not to take on the world but to make the world much more
livable by spreading love and happiness through an ethical approach to everything.

Sri Sri University has sprawled across 188 acres campus set on a hillock alongside the Kathjodi river, a
branch of Mahandai, between Bhubaneswar and Cuttack in Odisha. Sri Sri University attracts students

agriculture
BSc (Hons) in Agriculture program aims to use concepts of agricultural science, land surveying,
soil science, water resource management, biotechnology, agronomy, nutrition, farm operational
management, agricultural marketing or journalism, genetics production operations
management, health etc. to train students to improve agriculture productivity, manage products,
and pave way for future developments through research activities.

BSc (Hons) Horticulture program integrates the basic sciences, humanities, horticulture, allied
sciences and also includes horticultural engineering. It enables the student to acquire knowledge
and skills to develop technology and/or processes to increase both the production and
productivity of horticulture and other farms produce through efficient utilization and
conservation of natural resources.

BSc (Hons) Agribusiness program creates professionals with agricultural and management skills.
The graduates would evolve their perspective in core field areas like breeding, crop rotation,
machinery, etc along with the marketing and sales strategy of food and agriculture products. An
individual who is involved in agriculture production, distribution, marketing, and sales is
associated with agribusiness.

BSc (Hons) in Food, Nutrition and Dietetics emphasizes on food, diet, nutrition, production,
preservation, management, among others. The focus is on the effects of food on the health
of humans as also on a complete scientific understanding of nutrition alongside the practical
application in terms of rehabilitation and healthcare of the patients.

Osteopathy is the manual examination and the treatment method of the integrated
musculoskeletal, visceral, and craniosacral systems. It’s a patient-centered rather than
disease-centered form of healthcare.

The curriculum includes a complete syllabus following the benchmarks given by the
World Health Organization, ensuring the highest standards in osteopathy education.
This course is facilitated by a team of experts from India as also from Europe, North
and South America.

Graduates are eligible to register as practitioners of Osteopathy and can work in

hospitals, clinics, or open their private practice.

Indian Games. These programs are designed to cater to and meet the needs and aspirations

The motto behind establishment of the Sanskrit department is to develop it as one of the world’s
best education and research center for Sanskrit and other Indic studies to provide ‘Best of East
and Best of West’ to the world in the field of education.
MA Sanskirt program consists of a Balanced syllabus comprising significant aspects of Sanskrit and
at par with other national universities and is compatible with UGC NET and other competitive
examinations. There is Interdisciplinary approach (includes courses like Yoga and Communicative
English) and is driven by academically qualified teachers regularly engaged in Teaching, Evaluation,
Research, and Extension activities.
MA Hindu Studies
MA Hindu Studies program provides an in-depth understanding of Hindu Principles, Practices,
Traditions, Values, diversity, History, Philosophy, Society, Culture and Civilization. It strives to train a
student in one of the ancient and rich literature of India, the Vedic literature along with practical
usage of Sanskrit language, Basic Yoga practices’, ‘Medicinal Plants and treatment of their diseases

BPA Hindustani Vocal Music program consists of curriculum that features practical papers
on technique, presentation and different types of compositions as well as comprehensive
theoretical papers on the historical, cultural, social, spiritual an contemporary aspects of the
art form. Apart from music-related subjects, the curriculum also includes papers on Yoga,
Sanskrit, English, communication, and spirituality for overall development.

BFA Animation / Painting /Applied Arts program offers a 4 Year intensive Bachelor Degree
programme with three specializations to choose from: Animation / Applied Arts/ Painting.
The first year is foundational and the next three years are specialization. Apart from State-of-
the-art-infrastructure, SSU provides Faculties with extensive industry experience. Backed by
regular visits from international mentors and interaction with professionals, students get

 BPA/ MPA Odissi Dance program aims to preserve, perpetuate and monumentalize through the
Guru-Sishya Parampara (teacher-disciple tradition) the classical performing dance of Odissi in its
essence of beauty, harmony and spiritual evolution, giving scope for innovation and continuity with
change to suit modern ethos.

The curriculum includes courses on English Communication, Sanskrit, Cultural History, and Yoga
besides the rigourous and comprehensive curriculum of theory and practical of Odissi Dance. Besides
the opportunity to perform on stage, in various local and national level events organized inside as
well as outside the campus, the students at SSU also gain exposure through the world-class
conferences, festivals, events, and various forums organized by the Art of Living.

Students are trained to become professional dancers with UGC-approved qualifications, who can
impart dance education by setting up their own studios or by teaching in schools.

doctoral programme prepares students for a career in academia or research.

Our mission is to provide a scholarly environment for carrying out advanced research, action

Happiness Connect
The ‘Happiness Connect - Part I’ programme, introduced
from this academic year (2019-20). The curriculum involves
practice of Asanas (yogic postures), Pranayamas (breathing
techniques), Sudarshan Kriya and Meditation together in a
group. The sessions are facilitated by our in-campus 'Art of
Living’ faculty members. It is a 02 credit course per
semester for 50 marks, 20 marks is allocated for theory and
30 marks for practicals. Additionally, regular sessions on the
knowledge and spiritual counselling are also facilitated
throughout the year in the campus, benefiting students
across every dimension of their personality.
Prahuti
The brain child of Sri Sri University, 'Prahuti' is more than
just a B-plan competition.It demands students to sharpen

 Ayurveda Hospital
Ayurveda is a part of Pujya Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar’s
global vision of bringing peace, health, and harmony to
mankind. The aim of the Sri Sri College of Ayurvedic
Science & Research Hospital, Sri Sri University (SSCASRH-
SU) is to impart quality education in the field of Ayurveda
and create skilled individuals who can spread the science
of Ayurveda and work towards a healthier world.
The ‘SSCASRH-SSU’ inaugurated on 26 April, 2019 at
the Sri Sri University campus, Arilo, Cuttack aims to
develop an Ayurveda teaching hospital with a capacity
of 300 IPD beds and a 100 seater Ayurveda college by
