INSTRUCTIONS FOR VIDEO CALLS WITH

SIMULTANEOUS TRANSLATION

To facilitate the experience of the video call with simultaneous

translations, this document presents an explanation of the pre-
requisites for the call, as well as an overview of the technical
dynamic that should be followed.

Equipment
All the participants must have the following equipment and digital
applications:

A Interactio app for

computer/laptop/tablet
The Webex Main Room can
be accessed through the web
browser or the desktop app.
simultaneous translation
The Translation Room should be
accessed through the Interactio
app via the web browser
(app.interactio.io) or the app
from the Play store or App store.

A pair of earphones
In order to listen the simultaneous
translation in the language of your
choice.

Technical Intructions
All participants must access the Webex Main Room with their
computer/laptop/tablet by installing the desktop app or accessing it
through the web browser. The link will be shared by GPQI with the
participants.

This will be the main "room" for the conference where the
participants can see the speakers and hear the original audio, in
case translation is not needed.

All contributions from the participants must be done through the

chat of this main room, in English.

To avoid any interference or background noise, we kindly ask you to

keep your microphone and camera switched OFF throughout
the whole event.

Additionally, we advise to use an ethernet cable or Wifi greater

than 10 megabytes to prevent issues and reach a more stable
connection.

If simultaneous translation is required (Spanish-German),

participants must access the Interactio app on a second device
through the web browser (app.interactio.io) or installing it on the
device in order to hear the whole event in the language of your choice.

Enter the event code in the Interactio app and press the "Search"
button. The code will be sent by the GPQI team. SEARCH

Press the "play" button and select the language of your choice
(German or Spanish).

We recommend you to turn off the audio of Webex and listen to

the event via the Interactio app in the language of your choice.
There will be no need to change between channels.

Example of dynamic

If you do not need simultaneous translation, as you have a perfect

understanding of German and Spanish, then you only need to access the
Webex Main Room.

If you require translation, access the Interactio app through your second
device in addition to the Webex Main Room.

In the Interactio app, write the access code GPQI will provide you via
email and press the "Search" button.

Event Code

Press the "play" button and choose the language of your preference
(Spanish or German).

Once you have chosen a language, you will be able to follow the whole
event in the language of your choice.

For example, if you have chosen Spanish, you will listen via the Interactio
app the original audio in Spanish, but also the translation of German into
Spanish.
