PROJECT PROPOSAL

I. PROJECT TITLE: Implementation of the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Sistuation

(Educational Assistance)

II. PROJECT SITE: Municipality of Barotac Nuevo

IV. RATIONALE:

The Municipality of Barotac Nuevo is one second class municipalities and 30 kilometers
away from the City of Iloilo. Located in the northeastern part of the province with a total land
area of 9,798,687. It has twenty nine (29) barangays. It is bordered by the municipalities of
Pototan, Dingle, Anilao and Dumangas. Part of the LGU’s protective service for the poor,
marginalized and vulnerable group is the provision of financial assistance thru AICs to enable
them to relieve of their present situation.

V. PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

The project is tasked to extend financial assistance to deserving and eligible residents of
Barotac Nuevo who are in need/ crisis situation due to sickness, death, educational needs and
other natural manmade calamities to enable the recipients overcome with their stressful
situation.
Educational assistance is a form of assistance given to eligible beneficiaries to help
defray the school expenses and/or cost of sending students/ children to school such as school
tuition fees, school supplies, transportation allowance and other school related expenses.
The DSWD FO VI transfer funds to LGU Barotac Nuevo to efficiently served AICS clients.
The screening and evaluation of necessary documents will be done by the Municipal Social
Welfare and Development Office in compliance to the requirements of the DSWD. Upon
evaluation, the Municipal Social Welfare and Development will release a list of qualified
beneficiaries.

VI. BUDGETARY REQUIREMENTS

500 students x PhP 2,000.00= Php 1,000,000.00

VII. EVALUATION AND RECOMMENDATION

It is therefore strongly recommended that the amount of One Million Pesos (Php
1,000,000.00) be release to fund the said program.
