Parenting and childhood

What is an ideal childhood? A child needs to feel from the very start that she or he is wanted
and loved. They should grow up in the soil of affection of care. According to Michael Morpurgo. Even so,
what it takes to be a good parent? Parenting is the process of raising children and providing them with
protection and care in order to ensure their healthy development into adulthood. Parenting has many
styles and we are all raised differently by our parents. However, I believe that parenting had a significant
impact on children’s behavior and development.
In today’s society we are becoming more aware of Mental health and Mental health issues like depression
and anxiety disorders are frequently more common in children raised by detached parents. It has also been
demonstrated to cause children's cognitive abilities to decline. We know that parents always think about
what is best for their children. However, parents also should focus on moderate parenting styles that use
approaches in a healthy, encouraging way so that Children have a good childhood.
Parents are role models for their children. Parents should build and help their children grow into good
people and encourage them to do good things. As C.S. Lewis famously said, “Integrity is doing the right
thing, even when no one is watching.” Parents also should do the right thing, even when no one can see
them do it. So, children also mimic the good things that their parents do.
Children also need their parent's guidance and parental love. Parents' guidance is needed to guide their
children in a good direction. According to Litovsky VG, and Dusek JB Children who grow up feeling
loved and accepted by their parents tend to have higher self-esteem. Parental love is needed to develop
the child's character and personality development.
On the other side of bad parenting, one of the examples here is the lousy way parents raise their children,
Aggressive parenting is the style of parenting that enforces an unreasonable amount of rules and
punishments on children who fail to meet the impossible expectations of their strict and close-minded
parents. Aggressive parents strive to create the “perfect” child.
This is part of the parents' pressure on their children to study well so that their child can be perfect to get a
good future, The parent strictly shapes their child into exactly who and what they want them to become,
and in most cases, it is not at all what the child wants. They don't even think about whether their child can
do the things they want to happen to their child. Just like Other Parent is strict in everything regarding the
rights of their children, and because of this their children don't have much freedom in the things they want
to do or short limitation in things.

Some parents agree to raise their children strictly because on the other hand, it is a good way to raise
children so that they know their limitations in things so that they don't harm themselves or harm others
and to let their children know the consequences when you do things, so parents want it so that they can
keep it their children are safe

Nowadays, we should properly raise our children because their behavior and values depend on the upbringing
of their parents, and parents should also know their limits in giving tasks to their children because we don't
know. The thoughts or feelings of each one of us and let's avoid controlling them too much, we must guide or
coach them in a good path or they path they want to pursue not to control them in the things they want to do
because everyone has a rights or freedom in this world and we must love and support them in everything that
will benefit them in their life.
