Realizations

For me the Non-Governmental Organizations or (NGO's) are the ones responsible for

making sure that the unprivileged people get the same amount of privilege that the people who

are in the lower class. Which they engage countless reasons to serve as an inspiration for other

people where they can be set up to advocate a particular case which also aims for the

betterment of one's situation such as the human rights, or to carry out programs on the ground,

such as disaster relief. The main role of the NGO's which includes Counseling and support

services and also Awareness and advocacy and legal aid and microfinance which is the long

term for these NGO's is to assist in sustainable community development through many various

activities.

The Non-governmental organizations and have always played an important role in the

development of society, especially here in the Philippines. Improving communities and

promoting public participation. Although NGOs' contributions to economic GDP are modest,

NGOs' overall contribution to improving the Human Development Index or Social Progress

Index is irrefutable. NGOs play an important role in supporting the legitimate demands of the

common people and seek to help those in need in every way. First and foremost, NGOs are

responsible for spreading education to the public and making them aware of their rights.

I also realized that some of the roles of the NGO's were not just about Human Rights but

also, Eradicating Poverty in the Philippines which is another life changing aspects that can be

done. Also, one of their roles are to prevent social injustice and conservation of Environment,

which will also help a lot with the development of our country's wellbeing.
One of the most interesting things that I have seen in an article is about what they do in

Disease control and presentation, which they have also played an important role in making sure

to have an awareness about the pandemic that has been happening, since it is all connected in

hygiene and sanitation conditions. Of all the roles that they have contributed is the

Humanitarian relief and education plans and literacy.

One of the greatest strengths of NGOs is their ability to maintain institutional

independence and political neutrality. First, NGOs can facilitate communication from people to

government and from government to people. Second, NGOs provide society with the

opportunity to organize themselves. NGOs allow citizens to volunteer and work together to

promote social values and citizens' goals that are important to them.

The NGO or the Non-Governmental organization has their own way of influencing

people especially in one society, which also serve as a key point in making sure that there will

be an improvement in the government especially here in the Philippines, which also include

several key points which is the Service role and their Building community participations which

includes programs and more and it also promotes social safety-valve role which also tells us to

stay safe in socializing at all times especially women empowerment. However, Non-

governmental organizations need to play a more central and important role in social

development in order to fully achieve sustainable and inclusive growth in the Philippines.

Nevertheless, the effectiveness of development programs remains a challenge for most NGOs

and donors who need to work in a national development environment.
