Day 1: Hanoi Arrival (N/A)

Activities: Landing in Hanoi and discover Hanoi on your own way

Itinerary:
Welcome to Vietnam! you will meet our guide at the airport and transferred to your hotel to
check in. the balance of the day is free for you to explore the old quarter on your own. The
room is at your disposal from 14.00 onward.
Meals:  None
Day 2: Hanoi – Halong Bay (B, L, D)

Activities: Explore Halong Bay via a cruise ship on the first day of a 2-day tour.

Itinerary:

Morning
Savour breakfast in the hotel and prepare for your Halong Bay 2-day, 1-night tour, which will start when
the driver arrives outside the lobby. After the drive to the far east of the country, we will board the
cruise ship and head out into the wonderful world of karst rocks ahead of us.

Afternoon
We have lunch in the afternoon and cruise leisurely through Halong Bay, marvelling at the imposing
mountains rising high above us. After a few hours of relaxation, we head to the first of our stops, Cua
Van Fishing Village. Here, we can kayak or take a sampan boat rowed by a local to discover the colourful
world within, where residents have lived on floating boards in the sea for thousands of years.

Next, we head to Ban Chan beach, where we will be able to relax on golden sands with a view of the
blue ocean in front of us. The crescent moon-shaped beach is flanked by limestone towers and casuarina
pines, making it difficult to find and a real quiet gem in Halong Bay.

Evening
Returning to the cruise, we head to the top deck, where a sunset party will be showing the most
amazing spectacle in the daily routine of Halong Bay. Soak up the magical atmosphere before dinner,
which will be served in the glistening dining room before an evening of relaxation under the stars.

Day 3: Halong Bay – Hanoi – Fly to Ho Chi Minh City (B, L)

Activities: Enjoy the second day of your cruise around Halong Bay before returning to Hanoi for flight to
Ho Chi Minh City.

Itinerary:
Before breakfast today, there will be a tai chi session held on the sundeck. After this, breakfast is served
downstairs as we pull up anchor and head to the final destination on our overnight Halong Bay cruise.

Dau Go Cave is a wonderful example of limestone erosion over tens of thousands of years, which have
caused wide caverns housing incredible rock formations. We learn about the geology of these
formations, while also learning of the vital history that the cave played in its defence of Vietnam during
an attempted Mongol invasion.

We return to the cruise ship for a final brunch and some time on board watching the gorgeous scenery
flit past. At the harbour, we disembark and climb into the bus that will take us back to Hanoi for your
flight to Ho Chi Minh City.
Arriving in Ho Chi Minh City, our driver will pick you up for the transfer to hotel. Stay overnight in Ho Chi
Minh City.

Day 4: Ho Chi Minh – Mekong Day Tour – Ho Chi Minh (B, L)

Activities: Head to the Mekong Delta to enjoy boat trips, visits to local workshops and other quaint
aspects of the region before returning to Ho Chi Minh City.

Itinerary:
Savour breakfast at the hotel and take the drive to the My Tho for One Day Tour to Mekong Delta,
where fabulous scenery of rivers and fertile forests abound. We stop first at My Tho, one of the biggest
cities in the Mekong Delta, where we can take a boat down its canal and arrive at Dragon Island. Here,
we explore a fish farm operating directly in the Mekong River before taking the cruise into the Xep
Canal.

Again, we disembark at the luxuriant banks of the waterway and find a traditional village with a wealth
of local crafts on display. We relax for a bit with some honey or fruit tea at a gorgeous local house, all
while listening to live music performed with traditional instruments.

We continue along the humble paths of the village in a horse and cart before arriving at the river once
more and enjoying lunch in a riverside restaurant.

Following lunch, we head to a local workshop to enjoy coconut candy, a local specialty of this highly
tropical region, before ending our Mekong experience at My Tho. We take the drive back to Ho Chi Minh
City from here, where our hotel and some free time awaits.

Day 5: Ho Chi Minh – Departure (B)

Activities: Enjoy the last of your time in Ho Chi Minh City before transferring to the airport for your
onwards flight.

Itinerary:
Savour the last of your breakfasts in Vietnam before enjoying some time at your leisure. About 3 hours
prior to your departure time, the driver will arrive at your hotel and take you to Tan Son Nhat airport for
your onwards flight
