today?

(Students raise their hands)

Yes, Mr/Ms.?

I think, it has something to do in

describing the noun or the
subject of the sentence, miss.

Very good!

Our topic is the different types of

Adjectives. It is one of the 8 parts of
speech and it modifies the noun.

Just like what your classmate said “it

makes the sentence more clearer and
more specific”. By using adjectives, you
can add color and life to your sentence,
and can add more important
information.

There are 5 types of Adjectives.

The first one is the Descriptive Adjective.
It is used to describe nouns and
pronouns.

Can someone tell the class what is a

noun and pronoun?

(Students raise their hands)

Yes, Mr/Ms.?
A noun is a word that refers to a
thing, person, place, quality, or
an idea. While pronoun is a
word that may substitute for a
noun.

Brilliant answer! I’m glad that you can

still recall it.

So, among those jumbled words that you

have arranged, what do you think are the
words that modify the noun?

(Students raise their hands)

Yes, Mr/Ms?
Adorable is an example of
descriptive adjectives because it
modifies the noun or the
subject of the sentence which is
the cat, Tuna.

Very good answer!

The second type is Quantitative Adjective

which describes the quantity of
something. It answers the questions
“how much” or “how many”.

Examples: more, much, first, one, small,

few, some, any, whole, little, all, several,
two, ten, etc.

Using the examples provided, can

someone construct a sentence?

(Students raise their hands)

Yes, Mr/Ms.?

My brother has 6 cats and 2

dogs.
Very good! Other answers?

(Students raise their hands)

Yes, Mr/Ms.
There is little oil left for cooking.

Very good!

Our third type is called Demonstrative- it

describes which noun or pronouns you
are referring to.
This- Singular noun close to you
That- Singular noun far from you
These- Plural noun close to you
Those- Plural noun far from you

Using the examples provided, can

someone construct a sentence?
(Students raise their hands)

Yes, Mr/Ms.?
I left these papers here last
night.

Very good! Any other answer?

(Students raise their hands)

Yes, Mr/Ms.?
Those are not my shoes.

Good job! Now let’s move on with our

fourth types which is Interrogative
adjectives.

Interrogative Adjectives answers the

questions “Which”, “What”, and
“Whose”. it is always followed by a noun
or a pronoun and are used to form
questions.

For example: Which movie did you watch

recently? Or Do you know whose bags
these are?

Can someone give me another sentence

as an example?
(Students raise their hands)

Yes, Mr/Ms?.
Which color is your favorite,
black or red?

Correct! Very good!

Now, lets’ move on to our last type of

adjectives.
Indefinite Adjectives which refer to any
or all of a group.

For example: both, few, every, several,

all, another, some, many, most, each,
either, and neither.

Can someone give me an example?

(Students raise their hands)

Yes, Mr/Ms?
Neither Angela nor Cindy got a
flower last Valentines day.

That’s correct!

Good job! That’s the 5 types of

Adjectives. Do you have any questions or
thoughts in your mind about our topic?
(Students raise their hands)

Yes, dear?
Miss, are the words like who
and how considered as
adjective?

That’s a great question! Who and how

are not adjectives since the do not
modify nouns. For example, you can say
“Whose bag is this?”but you can’t say
“Who bag is this?” right?
Which, what and whose are only
considered as adjectives if they are
immediately followed by a noun.

Do you get it now? Yes, miss!

Do you have other questions or

clarifications? None, miss!

Good work, everyone!

(ELABORATE) To sum up or discussion, I will show you
