Instructional Objective:
Formulate a scientific problem.
A scientific problem is a question or statement that can be answered through an
experiment. The question is based on observations, interest, or curiosity.
Directions: Determine the Independent variable and dependent variable then formulate a
research question/problem from the scenario below.
1. Ms. Edna is teaching photosynthesis. She noticed that her students are not interested
with her lesson. As a result majority failed in the quiz given at the end of the lesson. Ms
Edna thought of giving a reward like a chocolate bar for student who gets a perfect score
in her test in her another class. As a result, everybody passed the quiz given after the
lesson.
