REFLECTION PAPER

What is Reflection Paper.
A reflection paper requires you to write your opinion on a topic, supporting it with your observations and
personal experiences. As opposed to presenting your reader with the views of other academics and
writers, in this essay, you get an opportunity to write your point of view.

Writing reflection Paper

Introduction
Your introduction should specify what you’re reflecting upon. Make sure that your thesis informs your
reader about your general position, or opinion, toward your subject.

 State what you are analyzing: A movie, a book, or a series…etc


 Briefly summarize the work.
 Write a thesis statement stating how your subject has affected you.

After reading/watching All the Bright Places(Chosen piece- provide the


information about the piece) The book is a story about sufferings told thru the perspectives of the
main characters, two broken 17 year-old high school seniors, Theodore Finch, the school freak,
and Violet Markey, the popular school girl. It starts when Violet tries to kill herself by jumping
from a bell tower only to be preempted by Finch who also suffers from his own suicidal
tendencies. ( Add More)

Body
The body paragraphs should examine your ideas and experiences in context of your topic. Your reflection
may include quotes and passages if you are writing about a book or a movie. They give your reader a
point of reference to fully understand your feedback. Feel free to describe what you saw, what you heard,
and how you felt.
I did not expect that this book would be emotionally devastating. I have read some reviews
about it and prepared myself, but it took me by surprise. The book goes through some phases from being
sad and depressing too eventually being inspiring and hopeful.

Conclusion
Summarize what you’ve learned from the experience. Tell the reader how your newfound knowledge has
affected your understanding of the subject in general. Describe the feeling and overall lesson you had
from the reading or experience.
