To All of Our Customers on All Lines Hurricane Irene Service Advisory Based on current weather reports, While it is too

early to predict the severity of the storms effect in our area, be MBCR advises all customers ed that there is of the potential for service delays, cancellations and/or temporary service suspension on all lines, both on Sunday, August 29th and Monday, August 29thduring the peak hours of operation on Monday morning. Accordingly, MBCR strovises customers to make frequent checks of service alerts/advisories on www.mbta.comwww.mbta.com for updated travel information before making travel plans on Sunday and continuing through Monday. While it is too early to predict the severity of the storms effect in our area, Tthe extent of anypotential service disruption to service will of course dependis tied onto the path of hurricanes Hurricanepath Irene. Potential problems include the falling of trees and/or other debris that may land onto the tracks; flooding of tracks; and damage to equipment and track systems. weMBCR has assigned will have crews and equipment to be on standby to clear all debris as soon as isquickly and safely as possible. There is also the potential for flooding which could impact culverts, so our MBCR engineering staffcrews will be checkinginspect and monitor known flood locations these closely throughout the storm. MI want to offer my assurance that MBCR is will continue to stockpile materiel and making all themake all necessary arrangements and will continue these efforts throughout the weekend so that we willin order to be prepared for the impact of Hurricane Irene and r, as well as for the recovery of the commuter rail service after it passes through our areathe storm subsides. AThroughout the weekend, MBCR will have additional staff have been added tworking too ensure delivery of that accurate, and timely messages are delivered through all available communication channels, including T Alerts, LEDed message boards, and social media streams. Please note; this of course is all communication channels are subject to system availability in the event of power outages.
