I. Prayer
The meeting was started by a prayer led by Mrs. Janice M. Panopio, Grade 7
Science Teacher.

II. Checking of Attendance

Ma’am Cristie Punzalan, Master Teacher I of Science Department checked the
attendance by year level.

A. National Science Week

Thank you to everyone who has participated in the National Science Week
Contest. Only the Grade 9 Level have managed to successfully pass an entry for the said
contest. The other entries won’t be rendered useless because those will be implemented
on the third and fourth quarter. This contest is one of the best practices that can be carry
through by the Science Department. Ma’am Punzalan have decided that there will be an
innovative activity every quarter.

B. Department Files/School Duty

Labeled boxes are present in the faculty room. These will be used by the School
Committee that are assigned for the documents. All existing files such as WHLP, grades,
anecdotal records, Duty 3-2-3-2, will be placed on those boxes when you’re on duty.
Don’t forget to Time in and Time out in your AWA. Teachers scheduled were based on 3-
2-3-2 format.

C. Schedule of HGP Observation

Teachers already have an HGP observation schedule. Please see your schedule
in the file submitted to our group.

D. Class Observers and Practice Teachers

Our department has two observers from Westmead School. They need 120 hours
of observation to comply with their requirements. All teachers will be observed even in
MDL modality.

In January we will have Practice Teachers. According to our Principal, our

Practice Teachers will be handled by teachers in the Blended learning modality.

E. Voluntary Contribution

In 2019, the collection has been stopped by those who have been married and lost
loved ones because of Pandemic. Faculty Officers have agreed to collect 1000 in the
coming bonus and salary by November. In case there’s a problem, it can be addressed to
our general adviser or faculty officers.

F. Grades
The teachers should be ready with their grades even though the card is still
not available. Grades should be reviewed by the advisers and subject teachers.
Student’s records should be ready in case some parents have queries/concerns about
the grades of their child.

The teachers should choose at least two learning tasks that will served as the
student’s assessment for the 1st Quarter. Link for the records/scores of the students is
already forwarded in the Department Drive.

H. WHLP and Instructions to Students

Teachers should always update their WHLP in the Department drive. Please
wait for further announcement about the mode of passing of WHLP. It can be soft/hard
copy depending on the instruction of the school management. Also, teachers should
always be careful with regards to their instructions to students in their Group chat
because some parents can read it.

I. Christmas party
There will be a department party at school on December 3, 2021 at Sir
Jethro’s Room. Attendance is a must.

The meeting ended with a short reminder BY Ma’am Cristie Punzalan.
