BACKGROUND INFORMATION

For as long as there have been writing, mistake exist and need to be erase. A lot of years the only
correction device available to remove writing from the page is the eraser which is cheaper ones and
made of synthetic rubber that has a higher quality gum like materials. As time goes by eraser become
not necessarily utilize for writing because of ballpen existence that are mostly used by the higher grade
level in the school and also the various offices that typically smoother to be use while writing. Many
corrections exist that are useful to cover, remove or expunge the error on writing especially with
different printed documents and one of this is the correction tape that consist of only one color, were
introduced to the Japan and widespread nationwide. Since, correction tape is the most used stationary
by people where it has been used to correct any mistakes that we have written on paper. The ordinary
correction tape allows you to quickly make corrections from errors during typing or any other forms of
handwriting but from the various advantages it takes also some disadvantages, even it allows you to
quickly cover the mess on paper writing page, it can’t be avoid also of having a time consuming when
applied. Where the users especially the students that eventually encountered this kind of situation
inside the classroom in times of having activities,quiz and task. In addition, using an ordinary correction
tape it will increase the use of plastic materials.

We are already in the 2¹st century, where everything can be turn as an effective ones through the use of
electricity. We tried to introduce the new improvised correction tape with an electrical design contain
two different color which particularly used mostly by the students ; white and yellow. Where can make
everyone lives easier in terms of saving to do their paper works. The new electrical design correction
tape will benefit to the global world because this handheld tool are more comfortable to use of wiping
away the marks quickly and neatly without to much pressure to control it.

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM

The traditional correction tape has been an indispensable tool for students, professionals, and anyone
who needs to correct written errors. Traditional correction tape can be inconvenient and time-
consuming to use, especially in situations where a large volume of corrections is needed. Additionally,
traditional correction tape may not always provide accurate or complete coverage, which can result in
the need for repeated corrections. In this context, there is a need to develop a more efficient and
ergonomic correction tool that reduces physical effort and increases productivity.

To address this problem, the research proposes an alteration to the design of correction tape to make it
electric and portable. In addtion, the design should be easy to use, so that users can quickly and easily
make corrections without having to spend time on how to operate the device, which would allow users
to apply the tape more quickly and accurately, and without the need for manual effort. The portable
design would also allow for easy use in a variety of settings.

By improving the speed, accuracy, and convenience of correction tape, this proposed alteration could
benefit individuals and organizations that rely on the product for their work, such as students, teachers,
and writers that frequently use correction tape in their work.

The research seeks to demonstrate that an alteration of customary correction tape to a portable electric
design can provide a more effective solution to the current shortcomings of traditional correction tape.

JUSTIFICATION OF THE STUDY

Correction tape is an alternative correction that used to correct mistakes during typing, or, in some
forms handwriting. One side of the tape, which is placed against the area to cover, is coated in a white,
opaque masking material. Pressure applied to the other side of the tape transfers this material to the
paper. The covered area can be written on it immediately after applying. Customary correction tape
applied pressure to transfers this material to the paper with a time consuming especially when there’s a
multiple errors on the written page or printed documents. Since, we are in the modern generation. We
conducted an innovation process to improve the customary correction tape to electrical design
correction tape that will truly contribute to the people especially to the students and office workers who
always encounter errors in their paper works.

OBJECTIVES

GENERAL OBJECTIVES:

- To provide a smooth correction tape for all users.

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES:

- To design an electrical correction tape that are comfortably and suitable for all users especially the
students and office workers.

- To ensure their everyday paper works neat and clean when wiping away the error.

- Make less time consume to wipe out the errors on the written page or different printed documents

-To produce a Friendly environment correction tape with two different color.
