Failure Description
After cobble happened in crank shear on 30/04/2022 we faced problem in the gap was widened more than 8 mm, and caused lot off cobble in crank
shear.

Expected Reasons

After cobble happened bottom eccentric crank moved from home position ( the move happened between adapter sleeve and shaft ) and caused the
over gap. This problem happened because of the force of the billet hit impact with the eccentric crank.

Action Taken For Restoration

-Removed the LOWER and upper BLADE HOLDER.
-Removed bottom eccentric crank .
- Removed bottom adapter sleeve and fixed new one.
- Fixed new eccentric crank.
- Adjusted the position ‘0’ between top and bottom eccentric.
-Adjusted gap at 0.2 mm.
- marked between shaft and adapter sleeve .-

Preventive Action (Recommendations & Countermeasures)

-WE will make mark and check of eccentric crank position .
