61.Dear All,
Have you heard about people who do business for a social cause? Yes, they are called
social entrepreneurs.I am very happy to introduce Irfan Alam, the smart and energetic
social entrepreneur from Bihar. He is here to inaugurate our Youth Club. He is the
founder and chairman of SammaaN Foundation. Started with a bank loan to redesign the
rickshaws,SammaaN has not got any funding from any donor or government. The
foundation gets its major revenue today from advertising. Rickshaw pullers get 50
percent of this revenue and this helps them. While catering to their economic security,
the company also engages with the families of the rickshaw pullers to provide social
security, education and even livelihood. The society needs more people like Irfan Alam
with innovative ideas. The Times of India has said that Irfan Alam is one of the top thirty
Youth icons of India. The then American President Barack Obama complimented him:
You are doing a tougher job than me. Friends, let’s give a big round of applause and
welcome Mr Irfan Alam.

62. A Tale of Friendship

February 11, 2023/ Bruce Lee
Antonio and Felix , known as amigo brothers, proved it to the world .
What an amazing match it was! The match was to find out who would represent the Boys
Club in the Golden Gloves .Both of them did their best to outwit the other. Both were
equally powerful as I already knew them for many years. Nobody fell to the canvas. At a
particular moment, only the sound of their loud blows could be heard. The crowd had
gone mute . I was thunderstruck! Even the referee was stunned by their savagery. At last
they embraced each other and left the ring hand in hand. What a pretty ending! They are
players who prepare and practice .They are players who get hurt but they also get up and
help to get up.They are players who win in life. I am proud of my friends. They went away
without receiving the prize. I believe as someone said, “There is nothing on this earth
more to be prized than true friendship”

63.
A meek, immature girl or a bold straight forward lady? The character of Nomita
evokes ambivalent thoughts in the mind of readers though Ashapurna Debi, the
creator has done it purposefully so that she may be compared to a matchbox, as the
title goes. Nomita explodes when she learns that her mother’s letter to her was
opened and read but not given to her. She has to bear the insult and sarcastic
remarks of her husband of being a “dung picker‟s daughter who pretends to be a
queen”. It was too much. She grabs his matchbox and flares up her sari. Though
Ajit is able to put out the fire on her sari, he cannot put out the fire inside her.
Perhaps, Nomita lacks her own space and it is her effort to establish and reinforce
her “self”. Perhaps, she is sandwiched between her mother and her husband.
However, she tries to keep a happy face before the in-laws in that joint family even

Downloaded from www.hssreporter.com

when they prick her harshly. Thus all the emotions that get bottled up explode in
one particular moment and we find her burning the anchol of her sari . Here we are
left with thoughts like whether it had been the only option before her to frighten
her husband. It is our freedom to interpret her actions as bold or timid. I would go
with the slogan- the bold and the beautiful Nomita.

65.Ogden Nash gives us a graphic picture of his experience at the dentist using
exaggeration that creates humour. He begins the poem by stating that the worst experience
one can have in one's life is sitting in a dentist chair with mouth wide open. The mouth of a
patient is compared to the section of a road being repaired. He says he cannot remain calm
and cool when his fingers are making changes to his love line and lifeline. The patient thinks
that his teeth are being polished but actually they are likely to be demolished. The dentist

Downloaded from www.hssreporter.com

uses the mirror to examine the mouth, which makes the poet wonder whether he is really
treating the infected side of the mouth. Finally, the dentist declares that everything is over.
But is it? He is advised to come back in three months. The poet says that it could be the
most vicious place fate could put him in. He concludes the poem saying that Man has to go
to the dentist to keep his teeth in good condition .He wished his teeth to remain in good
condition so that he won't have to go to the dentist again. Thus the whole poem comes as a
package of humour.

To

The Mayor,
Vadodara, Mumbai

Sir/ Madam,

I am Sonu from the East locality of Vadodara Mumbai. This letter is to kindly bring to your
notice that there are neither sufficient resting places nor drinking water facilities in our
locality . Dear sir, the majority in our town are labourers and small scale business people who
have to work hard for their daily bread. Most of them have to walk long distances everyday as
a part of their job. There are people from other localities who come here for trade. There are
not enough horegallus for travellers to sit or to take rest . I request that necessary steps may be
taken to construct horegallus for people to refresh themselves and also install drinking water
facilities for people to quench their thirst.

Kindly look into this matter.

Yours faithfully ,
Sonu

69. The poet says that we make a sacrifice to our language when we give a different
meaning or utterance to it. In other words, when we stammer, we give a different
meaning and thereby it becomes a sacrifice to the God of meanings. The poet tries to
prove that imperfections run through language, life and poetry. But without these
imperfections, life or language would suffer from a great monotony (dullness). These
imperfections are the spice of life.

70. Children most often tend to approach women to seek comfort. They like to play with
them and grow under their care. There is no love like a mother’s love and under her care, no
child loses his way. No matter how old, a child will always want his mother to counsel and
comfort him. She is the knot that lovingly binds everyone together.

71. In the poem 'Rice', the poet comes home after four years. His village has changed so much.
The rubber plants and deal wood trees replaced paddy fields. The whole field is planted over
with arecanut palm. There is no bustle of men,no shouts of ploughing. The rubber plants
confused his way to his house. No palm thatched houses could be seen.In short, all the food
crops were replaced by cash crops.

73. Mother

God could not be present everywhere, so he created mothers. Both the lines given above
emphasise the role of mother in a family. It also throws light on the uniqueness of a mother
. Mother is always concerned about her children that she prays to God for their safety.
Here mother prays to God not to take her away till her children become self dependent.
Mother shows much patience compared to father .She sacrifices everything for her
children. She bears all the pain for the comfort of her children. She is the light of the family
. She is the first friend, first teacher and first guide of her children. Neither schools nor
colleges or universities can impart the wisdom that is disseminated through the best
teacher in the world-mother. The house becomes home only because of my mother. She is
the thread that connects all the members inside the sacred ring of the family.

This is a collection of interesting and heart touching incidents from the life of the writer.
It is filled with the vibes of human love and concern for others. Even when the whole
world seems to be busy moving forward, there are some who get stuck midway. They
may need a little care, a shoulder to lean on and a few words to console their heavy heart.
The characters in these anecdotes will definitely conquer the hearts and minds of the

76 Yes . Women are the first to become aware of environmental damage. In Africa women
are the primary caretakers. They hold the responsibility of working outside and feeding
their family. That is why when something happens to the environment, they are the first to
know it. Because they do not get resources to feed their family. Thus women become aware
of environmental damage first.

77.

Respected Principal, teachers and my dear friends,

Today I am happy to be part of our celebration on World Environment Day. I'm talking to
you on a very relevant topic 'Importance of environmental protection for future
generations'.

Today as we all know, our Globe, the Earth is facing the threat of global warming as well as
over exploitation. Increasing threat on weather patterns can wreak havoc on people's life
and destroy animal habitats. More and more species of plants and animals are endangered
day by day.

Downloaded from www.hssreporter.com

Uncontrolled exploitation of natural resources is another cause for destroying life on the
planet. Monoculture and deforestation has destroyed the natural habitats of many species.
Producing greenhouse gases like CFC, CO2 etc. increases the temperature of the
atmosphere which in turn results in rising sea levels and many endangering climate
variations.
If we want the world to remain suitable for the life of human beings and other organisms
we have to preserve the balance of the ecosystem. For that, all world nations should control
the production of greenhouse gases. The younger generation has an important role in
maintaining the equilibrium of the ecosystem.
For the ecosystem to be balanced, we need to take immediate steps by developing
sustainable agriculture and reducing global warming. If not now, then it will be too late. So
dear friends, I insist you all have an important role in making this planet suitable for the
future generations. If not we then Who?
Let me conclude my words by reminding you , it should be our priority and our lifestyle,
our responsibility and our commitment to preserve the environment for our future
generations.
Thank you all.

Interviewer: Hello, madam, did you ever in your childhood think that one day you would be
known all over the world for leading a great movement?
Wangari Maathai: I belong to a very ordinary tribal family in Kenya. There, girls were not even
sent to schools at that time. So it was unimaginable that one day I may be a well-known person.

.Interviewer: Then how did you overcome these barriers?

Wangari Maathai: My determination to study was the first step.My elder brother supported me
to join school. Later I got scholarships to continue my studies.

Interviewer: How did you improve the condition of the people of Kenya, especially the women?
Wangari Maathai: I realised that protection of the environment is important for the better
condition of my people. It was the rural women who talked to me about the disasters they faced
due to environmental destruction. So I ensured their participation in the Green belt movement
for tree planting in Kenya.

Sir,
I am a higher secondary student residing at Junu Nagar in your jurisdiction. Some drug
abusers have recently made life in Junu Nagar miserable for the residents in the locality.
They assemble in front of the park and use abusive language on pedestrians including
women and children. People hate to go to the park with their kids due to this. The drug
users litter used bottles and syringes in the park and nearby roads. They also try to use
even primary school children as carriers for selling drugs.
I hope you will take necessary steps to solve this issue without delay, so that the threat
from drug users on the people in the locality come to an end.
Yours sincerely,

80. Corruption is one of the social evils that prevails in our country. It is high
time we fought against it. If we understand the real factors influencing the presence
of corruption and its consequences it will enable us to eradicate this global threat.
Corruption mainly results from the need or desire to get more money. It is
because people feel that their income is not enough to satisfy their needs. Leading
a luxurious life has become a basic need now. Also the relationship among

11

Downloaded from www.hssreporter.com

government officials, politicians and criminals is another reason. The people find
it is easy to make things done and escape tax by bribing. As a result the
corrupted officials make bribes. Moreover lack of commitment to the society, less
significance given to moral and spiritual values in our education system
contribute to corruption. It affects our economy by lowering the growth and
development of our nation also. Some measures should be adopted to prevent
this factor from deteriorating our society. We must understand that it is a serious
illness that worsens our economic development.
Strict laws should be enacted and special courts for speedy justice, timely
legal action against the law breakers and anti-corruption policies should be made
and being better paid also will enable to reduce corruption from the
environment. Apart from this, the public should be made aware of this and they
must act vigilant. United effort will make our nation devoid of any such
hindrances for economic development and step towards heights of glory.
………………………………………………………………………………………………
81.
Let me express my views on corporal punishment.
In a learning environment, corporal punishment should be abandoned. The teacher
training should give more importance to the teaching approach and each teacher
should handle children of different character build ups. The success of a teacher
should be assessed on the basis of how he or she imparted his/her knowledge among
different kinds of students in his/her class and what the result of it was. Instead of
corporal punishment, educational counselling must be established to make
intellectual changes in the attitude and decision making of students. Apart from
curricular activities, there may be students who are good at non-curricular
activities. Such talents should be tapped from the children and they should be made
useful to the society. Thus the surplus energy in the children, especially the
adolescents can be channelized in a positive manner. Cajoling and caning are two
extremes. Teachers should follow a moderate stand in between leniency and
strictness. Corporal dealings actually threaten the children and make them afraid
and they wish to escape from the educational environment. They may even hate the
subject out of their hatred for the teacher. So I would go against the saying "spare
the rod, spoil the child"

82. Report on seminar-Women Empowerment

Calicut: A seminar was conducted on ‘Women Empowerment : Need of the Hour’ in

connection with International Women’s Day, under the banner of Souhrida Club of ABC
school, in Calicut on March 08th 2022.

Dr.Beena Philip, Mayor of Kozhikode, inaugurated the seminar. She said that education is
the powerful weapon to abolish all types of social evils. Girl child education assumes a
special significance in the modern world. She also emphasised the importance of
self-reliance of women in modern society. ‘Every woman should be free to contribute to the
economic growth of a nation. A job is a must. It empowers them.’ She concluded her
inaugural speech by reminding the audience of the words of Christine Lagarde: ‘Dare the
difference, the difference will deliver.’

Dr.Aswini Das, the principal of ABC school presided over the function. She said that we
should have empowered women leaders to save our country. In her opinion countries with

women leaders can make better decisions.

Many eminent personalities presented seminar papers in the programme. Kumari Nayana,
a plus two student, presented a paper elaborating ‘the three L’s formula of Christine
Lagarde for women empowerment. The three Ls : Learning, Labour and Leadership can

84.
The neighbour in Robert Frost’s famous poem ‘Mending Wall’ tells this. Though the poem
is about a wall which is to be mended every spring season, the soul of the poem lies in the
arguments and counter arguments between the two neighbours.

The poet tells his neighbour that 'wall' is absolutely unnecessary. He adds that his apple
tree will never eat or disturb the pine which grows on his neighbours property. But the
neighbour only says good fences make good neighbours. He urges to instil in him the idea
that walls are necessary. The neighbour believes that good walls make good neighbours. He
is of the opinion that a good fence helps to keep some limit.

To a great extent, I too agree with the neighbour’s words. A good fence helps to maintain a
good relationship with our neighbour. If there is no fence between the two properties, there
is more chance of conflict between the two parties. In my opinion a good fence is very much
necessary to keep some limits between neighbours. It also creates privacy for each party.

14

Downloaded from www.hssreporter.com

However the fence should not be very high or without a gate or opening. If it is too high
and without any opening, it will badly affect the communication between the two parties.

job. I feel sorry for what happened that day. I humbly request you to forgive me and
reinstate me on duty.I ensure that such mistakes won't happen again in future and hope for

87. Childhood memories are an important part of our life. The happiest, incredible and
unforgettable memories of childhood are quite hard to stop remembering. Childhood is the
best part of everybody’s life. Childhood is the best stage of human life where they can
spend time without any fear and stress.

I’ve been raised in a big circle of family with lots of loving individuals. I’ve all the
lovely memories with them. During my childhood, I was carefree and had no worries at all.
I used to wander like a deer in the open fields enjoying the natural beauty.I especially need
to mention my grandmother. She turned into an awesome lady. We used to steal fruits from

the garden that my grandma made. I still can sense the smell and taste of those fruits when
I look back at the memories. I recall a picnic we had at Thrissur Zoo.There we had certain
incidents that are still fresh in my memory. My mother took some delicious food there. I
can’t recall precisely what the dishes were, but they were delicious. That was an exceptional
day. We sometimes visited our native village and that was a fine moment for me and my
cousins.Childhood memories are very essential in our life. We should remind ourselves of
all the lovely moments. Whenever we recall our childhood memories it makes us laugh and
we feel thrilled and nostalgic.

Sir,

Sub:Increasing drug addiction among the school children and the youth
Use of intoxicants and drugs is so common today that it has become a world-wide
problem.Drug addiction is increasing among the school children and the youth.. Most of
the students start taking drugs as a matter of fashion. But once they start, they cannot stop
their use. It is shocking to know that big rackets of smugglers and anti-social elements go
unchecked. As a consequence, school children have easy access to different types of
intoxicating drugs. Most of those who start taking drugs are socially maladjusted people.
Efforts must continue to drive out this evil from the country. The government should make
use of all its advertising media to give awareness and cautions students regarding the
hazards of using it.. Smugglers and anti-social elements must be dealt sternly and put
behind the bars. Guidance cells should be opened in all the schools in order to provide

guidance to the frustrated. Please give wide publicity to these views of mine in the interest
of the youth of the country.

Thanking you,

90 . Sure, Robert Baldwin, the central character in the play The Hour of Truth by
Percival Wilde, never compromised with the corrupted. He is very particular about ‘going
to his grave clean.’ His uncompromising stand towards truth and honesty marks the
difference. He lives with his wife Martha, son John and daughter Evie. He was working in a
bank as the secretary of John Gresham. Due to the financial misappropriation, the bank
collapses and Gresham gets arrested. Baldwin rejects the bribe money offered by Gresham
to support him during the trial in the court. He values his principles more than his
friendship with Gresham. He is an official with vision and passion. Despite the pressure
from the members of his family, he remains firm in his stand. The integrity of Baldwin is
rewarded when he is offered a job in a bigger bank.

Good morning,
Dear friends,

I would like to speak on the topic Challenges faced by women in modern society.

Women face many challenges in the modern world. They contribute less to the total
economic growth of the world. It is not their fault. They are ready to contribute. But they
are not given equal opportunities. As a consequence, many countries lag in per capita
income. It is a serious issue.

19

Downloaded from www.hssreporter.com

In many places, women are denied freedom for higher education or for occupation. Women
education is a must for the maximum utilisation of the human resources. Women face many
problems in their workplace. They don’t get equal payment for equal work. They have low
status and low security. We should change this picture. It is our duty.

Friends, as you know, atrocities against women are increasing day by day. Stern steps
should be taken against the problems. Let’s work hard for a better society. I would like to
conclude my words with the hope that we will bring the change we need. Thank you.

and Nation’ is being discussed in detail across the globe. Here, let me share my thoughts on
the topic with you

It is true that women play a pivotal role in a family and a nation. They are the integral part
of the system.A woman is a pillar of a family. She holds her children together in the sacred
ring of love. Many are the primary caretakers of the family. Her multifarious tasks at home
make the home always clean and tidy.It is shocking to know that many women are the
victims of domestic violence and atrocities. Just like Nomita, they live in the house as a
doll, being a subject to the insult of others.Others at home question her identity. As
Ashapurna Debi rightly observes, ‘quite without fear they put them in their pockets.’

It is true that many women play the role of national and global
leaders. But the economic role of women in a rapidly changing world is being questioned.
They contribute less to the total economic growth of the world. It is not their fault. They
are ready to contribute. But they are not given equal opportunities. As a consequence,
many nations lag in per capita income. The three Ls : Learning ,Labour and Leadership
can change this picture. Educated and professionally trained women can contribute much

to the growth of a nation. They are more likely to make decisions based on inclusion and
compassion with a focus on a long term sustainability of a nation.

In many nations, women are denied freedom for higher education or for occupation.
Women education is a must for the maximum utilisation of the human resources.Woman
empowerment assumes a special significance in the modern world ,as the entire nation can
reap the benefit from it. Let’s work hard for women empowerment as it can do miracles in
the family and the nation. Let me conclude my presentation by reminding you of an
African adage ‘If you educate a boy ,you train a man.If you educate a girl, you train a
village.’

Friends, as you know, atrocities against women are increasing day by day. Stern steps
should be taken against the problems. Let’s work hard for a better society. I would like to
conclude my words with the hope that we will bring the change we need. Thank you.

Good evening all,
Dear friends, here I would like to speak on the topic ‘Drug Abuse: a Social Menace’ We
face different challenges in the modern world. Drug abuse is one among them. It is a
serious social menace. It causes physical and mental problems. Its social consequences are
beyond words. Even the innocent school children become the victims of drug abuse. They
become the carriers of pan masala and panparag, even of heroin.

People use sensual drugs to change their mood. They use such mood altering drugs without
understanding their real consequences. Sensual drugs cause serious health disorders. They
affect the chemistry of brain cells. They activate our brain’s pleasure centres. They upset
the natural functioning of our brain. Continuous use of sensual drugs lead to the
weakening of our brain cells. Gradually, our pleasure mechanism stops functioning. Thus
the addict feels depressed. He fails to respond to his environment and to other people. He
feels ‘dead’ inside. There are many drug-related health disorders. Its use leads to
respiratory problems and cardiac failure.

It is our duty to protect our new generation from drug abuse and addiction. The use of
sensual drugs is increasing day by day. We should conduct awareness classes. Government
should take stern steps to address the issue. We should ensure the proper functioning of the
de-addiction centres. Let’s work hard to create a better world where there are no
‘intoxicating drinks and drugs’
Thank you.

94. Wangari Maathi, a Dedication to Nature

Wangari Maathi, a Kenyan environmental and political activist, was honoured across the
globe with the Nobel Prize for Peace in 2004. Her bold social and political intervention in
Kenya was a breakthrough in the history of the nation. She founded the Green Belt
Movement in 1977. It focused on the planting of trees, environmental conservation and
women’s rights.

Wangari Maathai had an eventful childhood. She got inspired from her childhood
experiences. As she was growing up, she witnessed forests being cleared and replaced by
commercial plantations. She was shocked to know that the reckless activities destroyed
local biodiversity and capacity of the forests to conserve water. Her childhood experiences
shaped her as a woman who raised her voice for the entire society. They became a turning
point in her life. She identified that the rural women in Kenya face a lot of challenges such
as lack of firewood, clean drinking water, balanced diets, shelter and income.

Wangaari Maathai’s life was a dedication to address the issues of these rural women. She
worked hard to help them. She realised that massive tree plantation is a solution to many
such challenges. 30 million trees were planted under the Green belt Movement.

Wangari Maathai was fully aware of the importance of responsible governance in her
country. She realised that a responsible management of the environment was impossible
without a democratic space. This awareness led her to develop as a political leader. Tree
became a symbol for the democratic struggle in Kenya. She mobilised the citizens of Kenya
to resist widespread abuse of power, corruption and environmental mismanagement. Here

we see a leader with vision and passion who could redraw the picture of Kenya with her
timely bold deeds.

95. Scope and Importance of Social Entrepreneurship

I do agree with it. Irfan Alam is doing a challenging task. He is a leader with vision
and passion. He has been doing a lot to organise the rickshaw pullers in India .His bold and
unique intervention, made a difference. He founded SammaaN foundation in 2007. As its
name suggests, the organisation gave dignity to the rickshaw pullers. SammaaN
implemented innovations to increase the income of the rickshaw pullers. SammaaN
rickshaws are redesigned to get more space for displaying advertisements. They got
revenue from the advertisement. The rickshaw pullers also get additional revenues by
selling the products like water, juice, biscuits, mobile cards and newspapers to the
passengers. They have a sense of belonging and empowerment. Sure, Irfan Alam deserves
the compliment of Obama that ‘You are doing a tougher job than me.’ Social
entrepreneurship is the need of the hour. It combines business and social service to help
certain sections of the society. It targets the bottom pyramid of the society. Thus, it ensures
social uplift and addresses the problems of poverty. Often it involves novelty. It also tackles
the issue of unemployment. Altogether, it boosts the economic status of a nation. A social
entrepreneur, as Irfan Alam said, identifies an opportunity and puts in conscious efforts to
make it an enterprise. He dreams big and takes calculated risks to achieve his dream. The
scope and importance of social entrepreneurship is increasing in countries like India year
by year .It is noble as it blends business, social service, creativity and innovations to bring
positive changes in society. Of course, social entrepreneurship resets the equations of social
set-up in countries like India. Let’s build up a new India where social entrepreneurship is
given a special significance.

96. Honesty is the best policy
` Shiny Susheel

Often we are compelled to choose between being honest or not in our day today
life. Some people stick to truthfulness, whatever the consequences are. Many people play it
safe by hiding unpleasant truths, fearing what others may think of them. Others prefer to
be dishonest for monetary benefits.Though it seems that lying has many benefits, actually it
costs a lot when you lie. First of all you have to live in constant fear of being caught. In
addition to that, as soon as you are found lying, you may be in trouble and you may lose all
the benefits of lying.

On the contrary, being truthful boosts people's self-esteem and makes them more
confident and in the long run they will be rewarded for their honesty. This is possible as
they build trust in others through their honesty. Your sincere conversations with others
make them know the real self in you. Thus they trust you more than anybody who is less
honest.
In the one act play The Hour of Truth by Perceval Wilde, the protagonist who is not ready
to accept bribes is rewarded for his honesty. In real life too, those who are honest may be
rewarded. Even if no one rewards you for your honesty, you will be self rewarded by feeling
less guilty and more respectable.

Mother O’ Mine, O Mother O’ Mine & Any Woman : A Comparison

The poem Mother O’ Mine, O Mother O’ Mine is written by Rudyard Kipling, whereas the
poem Any Woman is written by Katherine Tynan. The two poems render a poetic
framework to the unconditional love of a mother.Mothers’care and concern for her
children is highlighted in both poems.

The poem Mother O’ Mine , O mother O’ mine depicts the warmth of mother’s love. Intense
love of a mother will be with us all time. We will be blessed with our mothers’ love when
we face tragic moments in our life. Her love will follow us as a divine shadow irrespective of
our whereabouts and whatabouts. The poet uses many poetic devices. They make the poem
very effective. Here the poet employs exaggeration to describe the love of a mother. Her
tears would come down to us even though we are drowned in the deepest sea. Her prayers
will be with us when our body and soul get damned.

The poem ‘Any Woman’ by Katharine Tynan discusses the importance of women at home
and in society. A woman plays an important role to make the house alive. The poet uses
many metaphors to make her points effective. A woman has been compared to the pillar
and arch of the house. She has been called the light of the good sun. Children can’t grow
well without her guidance. She is the force which unites all children within the sacred ring
of love. She protects her children from all dangers. The poem concludes with her request to
God ‘Take me not till the children grow’.

Both poems share many things in common. They deal with almost the same theme. The
theme of the poems underlines self effacing love of a mother. Her unconditional love
towards her children is focused in both poems. The poets use many poetic devices to make
the poems very effective. The poet Tynan uses a lot of metaphors to make her ideas very
effective, whereas Rudyard Kipling uses exaggerations to reinforce the theme of the poem.
We can also see many contrasts. Both poems appeal to the readers through their simple
diction and structure.
