Overnight Round – Deep Pockets

HR is the human resource department of an organization. It deals with all affairs of employees in
the organization. Tene Group is a mid-sized manufacturing company that specializes in
producing high-quality car parts. The company has been experiencing rapid growth in recent
years and has decided to expand its workforce to keep up with the demand for its products. In
2016 it recorded a revenue of 58.3Cr per annum which was an all time high. Tene Group is seen
to have diversified their workforce and implementing inclusivity, this move has positively acted
upon the company’s reputation. The HR department has been tasked to prepare an excel
document for recruitment of 250 employees in the company with a specific budget. With the
uprising competition in the automotive industry, it has become a necessity to recruit a set of
hands. However Tene Group struggles with devising an effective incentive package for it’s
employees as their methods have often been outdated and have faced their fair share of backlash.
Assume the role of the Human Resource team at Tene Group and draft a payroll strategy to
attract and maintain 250 employees.
Budget – Rs. 1 Cr (per month)
The HR managers are required to recruit both onsite and offsite employees.

Guidelines:
 The managers are required to use the budget carefully and not to exceed the budget.
 The task will be disclosed at 11pm and should be submitted by or before 2am. The
participants are required to submit the excel document within the stipulated time and late
submission will lead to deduction in points.
