Communication may be defined as the process by which meaning is exchanged through a

common system of symbols, signs and behavior [person el al,2003-10]

Identify any five fields of communication.

Communication can be categorized in five fields basically it consists of intrapersonal,

interpersonal, Group communication, Mass communication and public communication.

Intrapersonal communication is within oneself and it can lead to suicide or disappointment.

Interpersonal communication deals between about two people.

Group communication is within a number of person that is relatively larger and with less

intimacy than interpersonal.

Mass communication reaches a large number of people through a mass medium. It is thing

the use of technical means.

Public communication deals with direct audience for instance a political party having a relly.

3. What is medium of communication?

Medium of communication is the means in which information or massage is transmitted or

disseminated.

4. What is referred as mass media

The mass media are the means of transmitting mass message or the vehicle for carrying mass

massage. example, news, advertisement, and it can expose large numbers of people to the

same information at the same time.

5. Identify any five mass media

iv. Television
