Certification Program
The OutSystems Certification program was built to foster
an ecosystem of skilled professionals to deliver high-end
quality solutions. We certify professionals on knowledge
and real-world project experience.

Certifications and Specializations

OutSystems has a set of certification exams to certify
individuals and teams as OutSystems professionals for
different proficiency and experience levels, roles, and
development tracks.

Besides the certification exams, the program also

includes Specializations. These Specializations are
shorter exams focused on a specific topic or area. A
Specialization can work as the final outcome for a role, or
experience level, or as a path to get a new certification. In
this last option, a professional can get a new certification
by gathering a specific group of specializations, which are
more focused and fitted to their role.

Why Get Certified?
Continuing training and certification programs can be an investment
of time and money, but they are the best way to get recognition
for knowledge and skills. Developers can significantly benefit from
it when it comes to successfully delivering applications or landing
certain customers and projects.

invest in an OutSystems Certification or Specialization.

How To Take the Exam
At OutSystems, there are two different ways for candidates to take
their exams: through Test Centers or Online.
Test Centers
Test Centers are available in hundreds of locations worldwide. In a
Test Center, candidates have access to facilities specially designed
to deliver OutSystems exams, and are equipped with all that is
needed. Remote proctors observe the test taker during the exam to
make sure there are no issues with the equipment, and answer any
questions or difficulties quickly and on the spot. Technical difficulties
are the last thing anyone needs when taking an exam.
The Test Center environment provides a more predictable, reliable
user-side environment. All the different operating systems,
browsers, plugins, anti-virus software, microphone, and camera
setups on test-takers computers add extra risks and decrease online
exam delivery reliability.
Also, attending an exam at a Test Center, allows candidates to have
localized support. This means that candidates can have all the
support they require in their local language.
Online
Exams can also be taken online, at a place of choice, using a live
online environment running on the test takers’ equipment and
software. These exams are observed by a remote proctor.
While taking the online exam, test takers are strictly limited to what
they can access and use to ensure there are no online searches,
copies of exam questions, or dialogues with other people. A security

check and technical setup are made to protect the Certification

Program reputation while ensuring that candidates who pass the
exam, and received an OutSystems Certification or Specialization,
have done so fairly and through their own knowledge and skills.

Local languages

OutSystems targets a worldwide community, so training and

certification exams are available in different languages.

Candidates can find the Certification Page available in English,

Japanese, Portuguese and Spanish. At this page, it is possible to
find exam detail sheets, FAQs and much more available in these

who pass the exam, and received an OutSystems Certification or
Specialization, have done so fairly and through their own knowledge

Development. All certifications are in OutSystems 11, the latest version of the platform.
