objectives of the following companies and organizations with regard to their interrelationships with
society?
1. Banco de Oro
To provide the best financial service to our clients requires us to be prudent in our design for
financial solutions. They undertake to render proper due diligence, objective valuation, and
full disclosure of material information. Through this process, they apply global standards in
creating active markets for instruments they sponsor and offer to their clients.
Their product offerings are based on an open product architecture model, where clients are
offered the best available products regardless of provider, an approach geared towards
delivering the highest possible returns to each of our client groups.
In all these, they anchor their commitment on a solid base, a sound balance sheet, and a
strong team of professionals.
It has always been Toyota’s resolve, that wherever it is in the world, its business operations
should always have a positive impact to the economy and the society. TMP takes it as a
responsibility to provide people with better mobility in the generations to come, as well as
provide opportunities for growth and progress in communities.
TMP always keep in mind that as its operations grow, the responsibility to give back becomes
more evident and imperative. Together with its various stakeholders, TMP endeavors to
achieve a better world and a better future for the Filipino people.
TMP has focused its various corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives under four
categories or pillars: Health, Education, Environment and Community Service. Aside from
several flagship projects, TMP implements its CSR advocacies through its social and
humanitarian arm, Toyota Motor Philippines Foundation (TMPF).

Identify the leadership styles of the following prominent people. What are the notable
contributions of these people that made them known and famous with their leadership style.
1. Bill Gates
Bill Gates offers a more participative leadership style. He believes in the value of input from his
employees for overall company success. The driving force behind the success of Microsoft is the
enthusiastic and hardworking attitude of Bill Gates. He understands that in business you will have
fluctuations and changes that you must adapt to in order to succeed. With this business attitude,
Gates has created a company that has been able to withstand the storm and still come out on top
as a shining star. Through the process of delegation of tasks, Gates was able to develop a
company that utilizes the skills of his team members to the fullest.
2. Marilyn A. Hewson
Map your own career path: “Take stock of what sets you apart,” she wrote. She suggests that
women should do a personal inventory: What are your strengths? Weaknesses? What do you find
exhilarating? Tiresome? This will give you some indication of what special talents and abilities
you have, but always be open to opportunities when they come along, “rather than fixating on a
specific title or role,” she says.
3. Steve Jobs
Jobs emphasized the importance of teamwork to his employees. Though he made the final
decision on product designs, he knew the right people are a company’s greatest asset. “That’s
how I see business,” he said in a 2003 60 Minutes interview. “Great things in business are never
done by one person; they’re done by a team of people.
At the same time, Jobs knew he had to be the best leader possible to his teams. According to
Jobs’ work mantra and ethic, innovation is what distinguishes a leader from a follower. Thanks to

Jobs’ expectation of high quality, almost every product he turned out was a huge success among
consumers and businesses.
4. Safra A. Catz
While Catz prefers to maintain a low profile, she is an aggressive deal-maker. The wealthy leader
has some basic life philosophies that made Ellison convinced that she could take Oracle forward.
Catz put forward some pieces of advice in her Wharton commencement speech after she
became the joint CEO in September 2014 and they give enough indication about some of her
strong convictions that would strike a chord with other business leaders. She said, for example:
“The press is not your friend. The number of executives who actually believe they have friends in
the press always amazes me.” Not many will disagree with that. The second one was even
deeper. Warning against lying, Catz said while one can recover from being stupid, he/she can
never from being a liar. “Integrity is a perishable asset, and once it’s gone, it’s gone for good,” she
said. This is something from the old school and eternally true!
5. Henry Sy
On work
“While I am not big with words, I am big and bold in dreams and vision. By nature, I am curious
and adventurous. I like the excitement of change and new and better ideas. I look for excellence
in performance.” – Henry Sy
