FORMAT FOR A BOOK REPORT
• Title of the book and its year of publication
• Name of the Author
• Genre of the book like biography, autobiography, fiction, etc.
• The main subject, plot or theme of the book
• Brief summary of the key points or ideas treated in the book
• Reader’s response to the book
• Brief quotations from the book
POSITION PAPER

- A geared to present an arguable opinion about an issue –
typically that of the author or some specific entity.

SUGGESTED STEPS IN WRITING A POSITION PAPER


• Identify your possible topic and some controversial
questions you might try to answer
• Give a brief narration explaining what you already know
about the topic and the reason/s for your interest in it
• Identify your article or articles and explain how you think
they might help you
• Speculate about some unusual directions your research
might take
• Decide which axes you are going to grind and which one
you are not.
