1. What subjects are you studying?

I’m a Psychology major with a minor in Spanish language.

2. Why did you choose to study that subject?

As I have always been fascinated by how the mind works, I felt that psychology was
the ideal field of study for me. Furthermore, I believe that I have wonderful
interpersonal skills and could easily connect and empathize with others, making me
the perfect fit.

3. Do you prefer to study in the morning or in the afternoon?

Well, I prefer to study in the morning, since my mind is clearest in the morning.
Besides, I have the most energy in the morning, so I can easily concentrate on my
studies. Usually, if I can choose the time of some courses, I will put most courses in

I’m going to tell you about my true love: soccer. I’ve been playing it for almost my entire life. Actually, I
would say it’s my number one passion.

I first kicked a soccer ball when I was about three years old, if I remember correctly. My father was an
avid soccer player, so he wanted to make me passionate about his game at a young age. He used to
take me to a park in our city to share his skills with me when I was about 5-6 years old. Shortly
afterwards, I joined a league, which my father coached. This is one of the fondest memories I have
with my father. Apart from this, we often watched soccer matches together. I can recall watching the
moves of the players in the games and trying to imitate them, which further helped me learn more
skills.

I’ve adored the sport since I was first introduced to it. However, sometimes it was difficult to balance
my school work with my passion for soccer, as I tended to neglect my homework due to soccer practice.
However, all in all, playing soccer has made my body strong and healthy, and has taught me a sense of
discipline and teamwork. Moreover, soccer is a way for me to bond with my family and friends.

1. What kinds of outdoor sports are popular in your country?
From my experience, basketball is quite popular among Chinese boys and men, while for middle-aged
and old people, the most popular outdoor sport is perhaps square dancing. Running and jogging have
also gained popularity in recent years among Chinese people of all ages and genders.

2. What sports involve teamwork?

Sports that have multiple players in one team involve teamwork, such as basketball and volleyball. In
these sports, players have to cooperate with each other in passing the ball and organizing offense or
defense in order to score a goal. So teamwork and cohesion within the team are pretty essential for
winning the game.

3. What are the advantages and disadvantages of playing outdoor sports?

When playing outdoor sports, you can enjoy sunshine and fresh air, and get close to nature, which are
good for both the body and the mind. But the disadvantages are also obvious: you can play outdoor
sports only when the weather is fine, and some sports are quite dangerous, such as climbing, surfing,
and sky diving.
