Testo 350 Flue Gas Calibration and

Adjustment
Before Calibration, make sure you have the following prepared

Calibration Form Timer Hygrometer

1. Place the flue gas unit to be calibrated in the flue gas duct and turn on the duct lights and exhaust fan

 Make sure that the temperature is less than

25°C before starting the calibration

 Switch on the flue gas analyzer for at least

20 minutes before calibration/adjustment
(to warm up)
2. Open the valves of the gas tank of the sensors to be calibrated O2/CO | CO | SO2 |NO | NO2

 Pressure Gauge Reading should be at: 2 bar

[Adjust if necessary]

3. On the Testo 350 Flue Gas Analyzer “Control Unit” user interface, navigate to Applications > Burner >
Test Gas > Flue Gas > Measurement
4. Connect the connector plug to the test gas hose, then connect the plug to the “analyzer box” flue
gas probe inlet.

5. Record the temperature and humidity in the calibration form. In the gas selector switch, choose the
test gas that is to be measured and set your timer to 3 minutes.

 By default, the Calibration of gasses

are arranged by O2/CO | COHIGH | SO2 |
NO | NO2 |

Dangerous gases!
Danger of poisoning!
> Observe safety regulations/accident
prevention regulations when handling test
gas.
> Use test gases in well ventilated rooms
only.
6. When everything is set, press the start button on the flue gas “control unit” to start measuring. When 3
minutes have passed, stop the measurement and write it down in the calibration form

 Always pay attention to the l/min pump when measuring. Ideally the pump should stay at 1.00
l/min. But there will be times where the pump rate will fluctuate. If the pump rate is too low or
stays at low value, you can increase the pressure by adjusting the valve near the gas selector. If
the pump still stays too low, stop the calibration.

7. After each gas calibration, the “analyzer box” must be subjected to sensor cleansing. This can be done
by removing the test gas and let the “analyzer box” pump in fresh air. The cleansing is finished once
the value of the sensors is close or equal to zero and the O 2 value is near 21%
8. Repeat the process of 6 and 7 to each test gas until you get all the required gas measurement
[ number of data depends on how many sensors are inside the measuring box].

9. Once you determine the sensors that are outside the allowable tolerance, you can proceed to
sensor adjustment. On the “Control Unit” user interface, navigate to Sensor Settings >
Calibration/Adjustment > Selection of Sensor
10. Select the sensor to be adjusted then enter the test gas concentration. Insert the test gas hose to the
“analyzer box” then press the start button to start the measurement. Wait for 3 minutes, then press
the adjust button on the “control unit” to adjust the actual value to the reference value

 After the adjustment of one

sensor, you will have to
perform a sensor cleansing
before proceeding to the
adjustment of the next
sensor.
