Objective: - To perform a Technical Demonstration of collection.space

 How each collection and items fits into project process

About Collection Space/Demo: - A brief introduction about our software.

For example

The collection space is State-of-the-Art collection management software, handling


every facet of collections both large and small, from objects and exhibitions to
insurance policies, shipping activities, and more.

Our aims in releasing this software are:

 To encourage good practice across the cultural heritage domain, through


the use of international standards;
 To enable more people to become familiar with our high quality software
solutions.

Start with User perceptive Demo

Step 1:- To show you how easy our software works, I’ll start by opening my
browser and heading to the site at www.collection.space

Step 2:- Clicking on “Browse Items” and “Browse collection” I will start explaining
its difference and how its functionality works

Step 3:- I will give client a broader idea on the information (title, subject,
description, creator, contributor, right, etc) can be added for a particular item
with example if required

Step 4:- Using search box, I will try to display the collections or items which is
already available in our database

Step 5:- Wrap the first demo with explanation on “tags” and “Sort” feature

Time taken for this demo: 15 minutes – 30 minutes

Demo (Admin Dashboard)

I’m prompted to log in, so I’ll enter user id and the password here so I can log in.

Now that I’m logged in, you can see the “Super user” appears at the top-right
corner and I’ve landed on my dashboard.

On the left, in this main menu, you can see various features like Dashboard,
collections, items, items types and tags. From there, I can find the option to “Add
collections”.

Collection: Click on “add collection” demonstrate how a particular collection and


other related information can be added that includes options like “public” and
“featured”

The moment I’m done with it. I will show him our public interface instantly with
the recently added collection

Edit: If the client wants to make changes to his collection I will demonstrate to
him how it can be done

Date added: - By clicking on this option, I will sort the data as per recently
added/modified items or collection

Items : Click on “add item” demonstrate how a particular item and other related
information can be added that includes options like “public” and “featured”

The moment I’m done with it. I will show him our public interface with the
recently added items

Edit: If the client wants to make changes to his collection I will demonstrate to
him how it can be done

Will demonstrate how to delete, show details, hide details for a particular
collection or items works in real time and how it gets reflected in the public
interface

Date added: - By clicking on this option, I will sort the data as per recently
added/modified items or collection

Search items: - Will perform one task based on this feature
