 THINKING POSTERS
Sixteen choices of thinking posters to choose from! Choose color, black and white, or print on colored paper/cardstock to match your
color scheme. These posters are designed for up to 30 students. Assign each student a number. Students can use sticky notes or a dry
erase marker once it’s laminated.

The posters make it easy to assess and monitor learning and track progress very quickly. Pull sticky notes of students you’re
concerned about to meet with individually or in small groups. Pull sticky notes of students you need to challenge or enrich and meet
individually or in small groups.

The number system makes it easy for you to quickly glance to see who hasn’t completed the task

***I double sided my poster (printed two separate posters and just laminated them back to back).

Sticky note templates for the teacher and students for further instruction and accountability are included in this resource (separate file).

 Printing instructions
Whichever poster you decide to print to fit your classrooms’ needs, these printing instructions will need
to be followed. **Printing on cardstock is suggested. Use white for colored posters or colored cardstock
with the black and white posters to match your classroom.

Select the page number of

the poster you want to print.

Select POSTER under page

sizing & handling section.
Increase the tile scale to
300%.
Make sure portrait is
selected under orientation.

It should enlarge your poster to

34 x 33 and be twelve pages.

 PRINTING TROUBLESHOOTING
If your printing setup does not offer a “poster” option like that pictured on page 3, follow these steps:

• Download Adobe Acrobat Reader DC

(free version)

• If Adobe Acrobat Reader is not your default PDF

• reader, open your PDF using Adobe Acrobat Reader:
Right click the file you want to open,
click open with, then choose Adobe Acrobat

After printing the six pages, there will be a small margin on some of the sides that will need to be
trimmed. I recommend using a paper cutter because it needs to line up correctly in order for the border
to match up and for the middle squares to be large enough for the sticky notes.
I didn’t want tape to show on the front of my poster
so I used a temporary tape…sticky notes!
After I had all of my borders lined up, I carefully
turned it over and taped only the back. Once you
laminate, it will be durable and the tape will only appear
on the back.

Have limited space? Use on the side of a filing cabinet!
