Christian Behavior

What is Christian?
A Christian is a Christ-follower.
When we say Christian Behavior, it is the VALUES of the person or as a Christian
individual.
Christian Values
Are the principles that a follower of Jesus Christ holds as important- the principles of life
that Jesus Taught.
Timothy 3:16-17
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training
in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good
work.
What are the VALUES of one Christian?
• GENEROSITY
• COURAGE
• LOVE
• RESPECT
• HOPE
• PEACE
• PRAY

Generosity- This is the core Christian value of being kind and unselfish, especially with
our money and time. “The generous will themselves be blessed, for they share their food
with the poor” Proverbs 22:9
Courage- The value is characterized by boldness and confidence. It’s the opposite of
fear. “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be
discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you whenever you go.” Joshua 1:9
Love- Love is fundamental characteristic of who God is and It’s a value that is to
describe his children as well. “We love because he first loved us.” 1 John 4:19
Respect- A Christian value is to be conscious that God has created all people in his
image. As a response, we show respect to all. “Show proper respect to everyone, love the
family of believers, fear God, honor the emperor.” 1 Peter 2:17
Hope- The value of hope is confident expectation. It’s a firm assurance in God. “There is
surely a future hope for you, and your hope will not be cut off.” Proverbs 23:18
Peace- There are many aspects of this Christian value mentioned in the Bible. It refers to
rest and tranquility and ultimately, peace is a gift from God. Let us therefore make every
effort to do what leads to peace and to mutual edification. Romans 14:19
Pray- Pray without ceasing 1 Thessalonians 5:17

Conclusion
Christians should adopt a different lifestyle, not for the sake of being different but
because God has called them to live by principle. Christian Values are Generosity, Courage,
Love, Respect, Hope, Peace & Pray.
God has a reason for allowing things to happen. We may never understand his wisdom,
but we simply to have to trust his will. Psalm 37:5
I Promise to You
The Guide to Avoiding the Attic of Love

Failed Promises Reasons.

It communicates to that person that we don't value him or her.
We have chosen to put something else ahead of our commitment.
Even when we break small promises, others learn that they cannot
count on us. Tiny fissures develop in our relationships marked by
broken promises.

Some people break promises because they don't know how to be

assertive.
They can't say no when their partner, children, or friends ask them to
commit to something. If you don't know how to set boundaries, you
might end up taking responsibility for something that you know you
can't do.

They are not showing integrity.

When you keep a promise with the person it will help them to develop
an understanding of trust and respect for others. If you are not true to
your word, you are not showing integrity. Eventually, this will lead
losing respect for you.

The person is “untrustworthy.”

Key Text: “It is better that you should not vow than that you should vow and not pay.”
Ecclesiastes 5:5
The great signs in the world
“For the Lord God does nothing without revealing his secret to his servants the prophets” Amos 3:7
If we look at people today, most of them are worried. Worried about what will happen next in the future.
WAR
“And you will hear of wars rumors of wars. See that you are not alarmed, for this must take place, but the
end is not yet.” Mathew 24:6

Iraq war
Syria
Yemen
Libya
Etc.
Jesus predicted just before the end there would be international conflicts on a global scale.
“For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and
earthquakes in various places.” Mathew 24:7

Starvation- Mostly African countries have food shortage.

United Nations report- Food shortage 38 countries
1/6 undernourished
10000 people per day, 3.5 million die of starvation.
Death (pestilence)
“…. and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places.”
Mathew 24:7

Italy Earthquake -August and October 2016

“And there will be strange signs in the sun, moon, and stars. And here on earth, the nations will
be in turmoil, perplexed by the roaring seas and strange tides.” Luke 21:25. Storm Surge-
Yolanda 2013
“People fainting with fear and with foreboding of what is coming on the world. For the powers
of heavens will be shaken.” Luke 21:26. Super typhoon Lawin - October 19, 2016 (Northern

Depletion of Morality
“But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty.”
2 Timothy 3:1-5
“For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their
parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not
loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of
God having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people.” 2 Timothy
3:1-5. Here we can see that in the end times we can encountering these kinds of people, let us be
reminding and be alert because we know God is near to come. But GOOD NEWS TO BE
ANNOUNCED AROUND THE WORLD. God is on the move! “Now when these things begin to
take place, straighten up and raise your heads, because of your redemption is drawing near”. Luke
21:28.
Revelation. 1:7, “Behold, He comes with the clouds, and every eye will see Him, and those also
who pierced Him, and all the kindreds of the earth will wail because of Him. Even so, Amen.”
Christ’s coming will be a visible event. You’re not going to have to read about it. Third fact
now.
“Our God comes, he does not keep silence, before him is a devouring fire, around him a mighty
tempest.” Psalm 50:3. That sure doesn’t sound like a secret to me! Come with me to the
noisiest verse in the whole Bible.
Do you have any restraints to prepare for Christ's return?
Ask yourself this question: Is there anything that would keep you from being ready for the
coming of Christ? Any cherished belief you would rather keep than obey God?
Any favorite sin you are unwilling to give up?
One day very soon, Jesus Christ will come on the clouds of heaven and He wants to take you
back with Him to glory.
God bless everyone!
