Narrative Report of Barangay Washington, Surigao City

Barangay abbreviated as BRGY or BGY, historically referred to as BARRIO. Is the smallest administrative
division in the Philippines and is the native Filpino term for a village that serve as for community, district, or
ward. In metropolitan areas, the term often refers to an inner city neighborhood, a suburb, or a suburtan
neighborhood or even a borough. As the basic political unit, Barangay serves as the primary planning that
consist of an officials for planning and implementing unit of govenment policies, plans, programs, projects, and
activities in the community, and as a forum wherein the collective views of the people may be expressed,
crystallized and considered, and where disputes may be amicably settled through a section of 384.

Background history of Barangay Washington

Washington, formerly Poblacion, is a barangay in
Surigao City in the province of Surigao Del Norte.
And because this barangay consists of a sharing
border, they referred it as Barangay Washington up
to these present held by barangay Captain Isidro C.
Carbonilla Titing who command and reprimind the
residents to make its community clean and green.
Washington adjacent barangay shares a common
border with Cagniog, San juan, Kaskag,
Taft(poblacion), and Luna.

Total Populations and Areas of Barangay Washington

Its population as determined by the 2021 census was 19,756. This represented as 12.29% of the total population
of Surigao City. According to a demographic household population of Washington in the 2020 census was
18,618 broken down into 4.02 members per household and estimated elevation of 12 12.3 meters.
Physical Characteristics of Barangay Washington
Barangay Washington is one of the top rated place listed as Government Organization in Surigao City where
top places near to this area are Eye Capture Wedding Cinematography way before 2015, and presented with
VMO Hotel, VMO Tourist Inn, Banban Taganaan, Bistro kanto, and JABZ Retail and Wholesale, and together
with its Market center. And also situated with Health Center, School, and Catholic church.
And Barangay Washington is a town hall in Surigao, Caraga that situated nearby to Caraga Regional Hospital,
Church Iglesia ni Cristo, and LTO office. This area has monitored to be the cleaness area but situated with small
area passage because of the modern begginners of some residence in search for their living life.
