• 4th, 5th, 6th grade – 30-hour STEM Camp - Worked on a pollinator science unit
where we used data tables to identify which pollinators were attracted to
specific flower traits. Dissected a flower and labelled all parts.

Spring 2022 Sumner Elementary (ISD 492) - Ethnographers


• 1st grade – 40 hours - Planned and executed multiple lessons with coin
counting and identification following MN Math Standards.
• 4th grade – 40 hours – Planned and executed lessons where learners used
text features such as charts, graphs, tables and other visuals to understand
and interpret informational texts.

Fall 2021 Banfield Elementary (ISD 492) – Global Studies


• 2nd grade – 10 hours - Taught social studies lessons with absent narratives in
relation to the MN standards.

provide students with a voice, and be more collaborative in the classroom.

October 2021 • Trauma 1 and 2: Understanding Trauma and the Developing Brain
A training geared towards educators about the consequences of childhood trauma.
The training provided strategies on how to identify trauma, how it impacts the
developing brain, and how to identify ways to help students carrying high levels of
toxic stress.
• Creating Gender Inclusivity Through Language, Curriculum and Shared Stories
A workshop focusing on gender-inclusive language, how to use literature and persona
dolls to create all-gender inclusive classrooms, and two equity frameworks towards
becoming anti-bias educators.
• Culturally Responsive Classroom Mindfulness
A training to learn about culturally responsive mindfulness practices and how they can
be used in the classroom to help students focus and manage their emotions.
