Podcast Production Log

Dean Duffy
First of all I started by adding my audio for the podcast, I added my introduction music which was
non copyright podcast music. Then in the middle/interview part of the podcast I added the 7
Nation Army instrumental which is a notorious song for the Widens Vikings. Then I leveled off
the audio so it wouldn’t distract the listeners.
Then I added the audio of my podcast intro and outro and cut them so it flows
perfectly then I added the interview part and edited on the timeline each clip using
the command C and V for cut and select and delteting parts of the audio that I did
not want. This made the podcast flow better and sound more proffessional!
Then I added my graphic to the Podcast, this is so I can export the podcast into an MP4 video format meaning it becomes a video.
This also means I can upload the Podcast to YouTube. I dragged the whole graphic through the whole of my timeline so it was
always there all the way through the podcast’s duration.
At the end of the podcast to hit the 10 minute target on the brief I had to add some audio. So I took some of the 7 nations audio
from before and when I stopped talking I keyframed the audio up so it plays nice and loud to the listener and when I hit 10 mins I
keyframed it again to reduce the audio closing the podcast off!
Finally, I finished the editing of my podcast. So then I had to export all of the Podcast. To do this I had to go to the expost tab on
my premiere pro. Then I selected all of the podcast timeline using the dragable arrows. I then changed the format to H.264 which
is the equivalent to MP4. I chose the location where I wanted my podcast file to be (which was the creative media file) Finally I
changed the file name to Dean Duffy Final Podcast and hit ‘’Export’’.
