RESULT-

Through comparison of different variables, we interpreted that average of “male students

(59.4%)” from “18-31 years” with an average annual family income of “15,000rs per month”
are more influenced by “Bicycle (37.9%) and Private car (24.2%) during a covid-19
pandemic.

1.1 HYPOTHESIS TEST RESULTS:

I. CHANGE IN COMMUTING BEHAVIOUR DUE TO COVID-19:

1. H0 = Gender of the respondent does not change in commuting behaviour due to
covid-19.
H1 = Gender of the respondent change in commuting behaviour due to covid-19.
RESULT: -
In our first result, we have compared commuting behaviour in covid 19 with gender. We have
used here chi-square testing which tells us that it is a negative test. So, we have to select the
null hypothesis.

2. H0 = Age of the respondent does not change in commuting behaviour due to covid-
19.
H1 = Age of the respondent change in commuting behaviour due to covid-19.
RESULTS: -
As compared commuting behaviour in covid 19 with age. We have used here chi-square
testing which tells us that it is a positive test. So, we have to reject the null hypothesis.

3. H0 = Employment of the respondent does not change in commuting behaviour due to

covid-19.
H1 = Employment of the respondent change in commuting behaviour due to covid-
19.
RESULTS: -
As compared commuting behaviour in covid 19 with employment. We have used here chi-
square testing which tells us that it is a positive test. So, we have to reject the null hypothesis.

II. DISTANCE TRAVELLED FOR PRIMARY OUTDOOR TRIP DURING COVID-

19:
1. H0 = Gender of the respondent does not change in distance travelled for primary
outdoor trips during covid-19.
H1 = Gender ownership of the respondent change in distance travelled for primary
outdoor trips during covid-19.
RESULTS: -
As compared distance travelled for a primary outdoor trip during covid-19 with gender. We
have used here Spearman’s Rho testing for relationship and Kruskal Wallis testing for the
difference which tells us that it is a positive test. So, we have to reject the null hypothesis.

2. H0 = Car ownership of the respondent does not change in distance travelled for primary
outdoor trips during covid-19.
H1 = Car ownership of the respondent change in distance travelled for primary outdoor
trips during covid-19.
RESULTS: -
As compared distance travelled for a primary outdoor trip during covid-19 with car
ownership. We have used here Spearman’s Rho testing for relationship and Kruskal Wallis
testing for the difference which tells us that it is a negative test. So, we have to accept the null
hypothesis.

3. H0 = Motorbike ownership of the respondent does not change in distance travelled for
primary outdoor trips during covid-19.
H1 = Motorbike ownership of the respondent change in distance travelled for primary
outdoor trips during covid-19.
RESULTS: -
As compared distance travelled for a primary outdoor trip during covid-19 with motorbike
ownership. We have used here Spearman’s Rho testing for relationship and Kruskal Wallis
testing for the difference which tells us that it is a negative test. So, we have to accept the null
hypothesis.
III.MODE FOR PRIMARY OUTDOOR TRIP DURING COVID-19:
1. H0 = No. of people in the household of the respondent does not change in the mode for
primary outdoor trips during covid-19.
H1 = No. of people in the household of the respondent change in the mode for primary
outdoor trips during covid-19.
RESULT: -
As a compared mode for a primary outdoor trip during covid-19 with no. of people in the
household. We have used here Chi-Square testing for a relationship which tells us that it is a
positive test. So, we have to reject the null hypothesis.

2. H0 = Gender of the respondent does not change in the mode for primary outdoor trips
during covid-19.
H1 = Gender of the respondent change in the mode for primary outdoor trips during
covid-19.
RESULT: -
As a compared mode for a primary outdoor trip during covid-19 with gender. We have used
here Chi-Square testing for a relationship which tells us that it is a negative test. So, we have
to accept the null hypothesis.
3. H0 = Age of the respondent does not change in a mode for primary outdoor trips during
covid-19.
H1 = Ager of the respondent change in a mode for primary outdoor trips during covid-19.
RESULT: -
As a compared mode for a primary outdoor trip during covid-19 with age. We have used here
Chi-Square testing for a relationship which tells us that it is a negative test. So, we have to
accept the null hypothesis.

IV. FACTORS AFFECTING MODE CHOICE DURING COVID-19:

1. H0 = Gender of the respondent does not change in Door-to-Door Service.
H1 = Gender of the respondent change in Door-to-Door Service.
RESULT: -
As compared door-to-door service with gender. We have used here Pearson’s Correlation
testing for the relationship and the T-test for the difference which tells us that it is a negative
test. So, we have to accept the null hypothesis.

2. H0 = Gender of the respondent does not change in the online prepaid system.
H1 = Gender of the respondent change in the online prepaid system.
RESULT: -
As a compared online prepaid system with gender. We have used here Pearson’s Correlation
testing for the relationship and the T-test for the difference which tells us that it is a negative
test. So, we have to accept the null hypothesis.

3. H0 = Gender of the respondent does not change in Passengers with face masks.
H1 = Gender of the respondent change in Passengers with face masks.
RESULT: -
As compared passengers with face masks with gender. We have used here Pearson’s
Correlation testing for the relationship and T-test for the difference which tells us that it is a
negative test. So, we have to accept the null hypothesis.
4. H0 = Gender of the respondent does not change in social distance.
H1 = Gender of the respondent change in social distance.
RESULT: -
As compared social distance with gender. We have used here Pearson’s Correlation testing
for the relationship and the T-test for the difference which tells us that it is a negative test. So,
we have to accept the null hypothesis.

5. H0 = Gender of the respondent does not change in infection concern.

H1 = Gender of the respondent change in infection concern.
RESULT: -
As compared infection concern with gender. We have used here Pearson’s Correlation testing
for the relationship and T-test for the difference which tells us that it is a negative test. So, we
have to accept the null hypothesis.
6. H0 = Gender of the respondent does not change in Cleanliness.
H1 = Gender of the respondent change in infection Cleanliness.
RESULT: -
As compared cleanliness with gender. We have used here Pearson’s Correlation testing for
the relationship and the T-test for the difference which tells us that it is a negative test. So, we
have to accept the null hypothesis.

7. H0 = Gender of the respondent does not change in safety and security.

H1 = Gender of the respondent change in infection safety and security.
RESULT: -
As compared safety & security with gender. We have used here Pearson’s Correlation testing
for the relationship and T-test for the difference which tells us that it is a negative test. So, we
have to accept the null hypothesis.
