In the future, nobody will buy printed newspapers or books because they will be able to

read everything they want online without paying. To what extent do you agree or
disagree with this statement?

In era 4.0, information plays a vital role in normal life that could not be undenied.
However, a number of people argue that nobody want to spend money on purchasing
newspapers or books since they can access the internet to read everything they want
without paying. From my point of view, I agree to a certain extent that reading online is a
good development.

In the first place, there are a colossal number of readers might be into reading printed
newspapers or books. The physical papers could provide a sense of belonging to people
when they hold their own newspapers. The experience of reading printed publications is
quite different from online one, people have a tendency to be more concentrate on paper
magazines rather than on e-books which is sometimes disturbed by advertisements. In
addition, the information, posts published in printed newspaper have been approved by
censorship agency so that all the precise knowledge people can gain to open their minds.
In contrast, the unreliable information could lead people to make wrong decision which
has serious consequences.

In the second place, e-reading could be associated with enormous beneficial implications.
Thanks to e-reading, readers can easily read everytime and everywhere just by having a
smartphone or a tablet. Instead of spending money to buy printed newspapers, people
now could access to many sources of information on various fields on the internet and the
money saved could be put to a more productive use. The price of full set Twilight – a
popular novel among young people, for instance, is about 70$, which is extortionate to
effort while readers can enjoy the novel free on an internet website. The result is that 70$
saved could be used to buy the essential stuffs such as food, clothes. Moreover, online
publications do not need papers so producers do not ought to cut trees in the process,
which could contribute to protect the environment.

In conclusion, I am a firm believer that the expanding number of readers using online
newspapers or book has potential advantages for society.
