Poetry Success Criteria using QWERTY:

(Note: QWERTY doesn’t need to be written in ‘order’ because a lot of the letters overlap, as
long as you link in your ideas, the poet’s intentions and fully analysed quotes – you’re good
to go!)

Question: Mention poet’s name and poem title and theme/idea that question is asking you
to explore

Writer: Remember to use ‘poet’ instead of writer, what kinds of themes is the poet also
‘alluding’ to

Evidence/Explanation: QUOTES – TECHNIQUE- ZOOM

Reader: How does this technique/idea make you feel? Why? What is the writer trying to do?
How is this achieved?

Techniques: TECHNIQUE – ZOOM

Your response: what is your final take away from the poem? Why? How is this achieved?
