ORGANELLES:

Cell Membrane- Maintains cellular integrity and transport of molecules inside and outside the cell.

 SHIPPING/RECEIVING DEPARTMENT

Cytoplasm- Responsible for giving a cell its shape. It helps to fill out the cell and keeps organelles in their
place.

 FACTORY FLOOR

Golgi Body- They act as an area for storage, processing, and packaging of various cellular secretions.

 FINISHING/PACKAGING DEPARTMENT

Lysosome - The membrane-bound cell organelle breaks down excess or worn-out cell parts and is
utilizing to devastate attacking infections and microbes.

 MAINTENANCE CREW

Mitochondria - The membrane-bound organelle creates most of the chemical vitality required to control
the cell's biochemical responses and is called a ‘’powerhouse of the cell.’’

 POWER PLANT

Nucleus - The membrane-bound organelle that controls the cell exercises. It is the synthesis of
ribonucleic acid or RNA that acts as a structure for the union of different proteins within the cell.

 CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Nucleolus - The nucleolus primary function is to facilitate ribosome biogenesis by processing and
assembling rRNA into pre ribosomal particles.

 HR DEPARTMENT

Ribosome - Ribosomes have two primary functions, Message decoding and peptide bond formation.
These two functions are carried out by two large ribonucleoprotein particles (RNPs) of unequal size
known as ribosomal subunits.

 WORKERS IN THE ASSEMBLY LINE

Rough ER - involved with the production, folding, quality control and dispatch of some proteins.

 Quality Control

Smooth ER - the synthesis of lipids, steroid hormones, the detoxification of harmful metabolic
byproducts and the storage and metabolism of calcium ions within the cell.

 PRODUCTION LINE

Vacuole- their function is really to handle waste products, and by handle, mean take in waste products
and get rid of waste products.

 Janitor/ Cleaner
Cell wall - cell wall is to give the cell strength and structure, and to filter molecules that pass in and out
of the cell.

 STRUCTURE/WALLS OF THE FACTORY

Chloroplast - convert light energy into relatively stable chemical energy via the photosynthetic process.

 Solar Energy Panels

Central Vacuole - a large vacuole found inside of plant cells. A vacuole is a sphere filled with fluid and
molecules inside a cell. The central vacuole stores water and maintains turgor pressure in a plant cell.
