Q1) the angle that the plane of contact between two bodies makes with the horizontal when
the upper body is just on the point of sliding: the angle whose tangent is the coefficient of
friction between the two bodies
Q2)

Introduction
We will determine the friction coefficient in this
experiment (static and kinetic). Newton's second
law has been used to analyze the system that has
been displayed.

Objectives
 Analysis the incline plane accelerating system
 Learn how to find the static friction constant can be found practically
 Describe how frictional force and kinetic friction constant can be determined
experimentally using either force distance.
 Better appreciate the neoconservative aspect of real situations and the difference between
the conservation of mechanical energy and the conservation of total energy

Analysis and Discussion:

The numbers were expected in table 1 because we are lifting up the incline plane to see at what
angle the object starts moving for the first 1,2 they were the it has just a little difference due to
experimental error, in table 2 the numbers were not as I expected because the time was so little
as soon I leave the hanged mass the mass1 accelerate and stops at the end that was not expected.

Answers to the Review Questions:

Q7) its shown in table 1 in the static friction row we calculated using μs=tan θ
Q8) 122.65 ×1.15+122.65 ( 9.8 ) sin 0+122.65 ( 9.8 ) ( 2.05 ) cos 0=2605.086
Q9)Yes it does

The Objects were met.

The Sources of error were only experimental error and human error.
