books in the center and she described what the school did to give
students the ability to research, read and function without books.
Wow!
Carol-Ann recently went to Alaska with her daughter and they plan to
go to the British Isles in 2024. She has a close relationship with all
her children and grandchildren.
Neena Grosvenor
use it. She wanted to learn Spanish, and takes a Spanish class and
spends time online or on the phone speaking Spanish with a couple
of friends who live in Spain. She will hopefully get to use her
language skills on a long trip to Spain this summer. She sews, she
paints and has a myriad of other skills.
She was an exceptional English teacher at Western High School,
before earning her Master's in Media at Nova Southeastern
University. Luckily, Western had three campuses when she finished
her degree and she managed the tenth-grade center with skill and
energy.
When Cypress Bay opened and Western no longer needed three
centers, she moved on to Silver Lakes where she wrote a number of
grants that added state-of-the-art technology, books, and even a
garden to the school. You all know her rise to further heights at the
county office where she shared her knowledge with media persons
across the county.
Some of you may not be aware, but Xi has nominated her for the
Sara B Ferguson Award from the state DKG organization this Spring.
She has served Xi well for almost 25 years and has also been active
at the district and state levels—a requirement of the award. Keep
your fingers crossed for her when we go to the State Convention in
Lake Mary at the end of April. Whether or not she wins the award
this year, she is a winner to us in every way possible. She is one of
the go-to people when you need to know anything tech.
